Sam A friendly barista in our local StarBucks brought in some of his own coffee that he got from a trip home to the States. Offering it around to the regular punters I decided to have a shot, it was the most wonderful coffee I've ever tasted.
And for the moral of this story. Well, there isn't one.
You can't make a silk ear out of a sow's purse?
Bar Italia certainly make a good espresso. Has anyone ever had one of their ristrettos? They are v good. Worth a go if you need a late night pick me up.

photoben One of the best drunk/stoned conversations I ever had was that we should get rid of all the tube trains and have an underground cycle network, with hire bikes at each station. It would be wicked. Perhaps I should suggest that to Ken.
Man I just chuckled out loud - should we start a campaign?

stevo_com Fair fucks to ya, just been hanging round with too many rugby players! I'm somewhere around 105-110kg most of the time and I'm 6'1" and not a 'complete' lard arse .
I have often had moments of dread when on my skinny tubed peugeot with 700/23 tires, mostly I try and not think about carbolite's stress/strain curves :S

Leave a note on it (in a plastic bag with your number on) asking if the owner still wants it. If it's still there in a couple of weeks - I think the amount of time you have to hold a bike that you have found is two weeks? - then think about liberating it. Its still illegal though even if you feel as though - and probably are - you are rescuing it. That said the council can get away with it so maybe speak to them?

I know that there has been many a thread about chainlines - I've been trawling them for days - but I can't find the info I'm looking for.
I know that you can buy single ring bolts for the chainring - I may just machine the existing ones down at work - but there just doesn't seem at the moment to be enough room. The smallest chainring has a chainline of 50mm c to c. I've got a set of Miche/Mavic wheels. The hubs are the Miche Primato track hubs single side which I believe have a 42mm chainline - I haven't measured them but that's the info I have gained from on here. So that leaves me 8mm out. I could make up a set of chainring spacers, but 8mm seems a bit excessive - besides which the chainring bolts probably aren't long enough. The frame is and old 80's Pug (Peugeot UK but French built) with a 67mm shell width. I believe the bottom bracket to be English threaded but I can't be 100% as I haven't taken it apart yet - the other bike isn't yet finished and this is my main transport.
So...can anyone give me any pointers? Has anyone else on here gone down this route? I'm looking to buy single cranks in the end, this is all just to tide me over. I have a feeling a new bottom bracket is in order anyway so may just get one 4mm shorter? This is all new to me and some help would be appreciated.
Cheers
Anthony
