I know, which is why it’s frustrating because they are insisting that I changed my details on the online system between the starter form and getting paid. It’s my words against theirs, I can insist for them to show me proof like system logs but I honestly don’t think out HR system is that advanced or at least they wouldn’t know what I am talking about.
I just hope they get the money or whatever back in the next few days and that will be the end of the story.

I did supply the correct bank details yes but they are also saying I didn’t. I have a screen shot of my start forms and they are not disputing the fact that I did provide the correct bank details but they are now also saying I changed it. Why would I touch my bank details if I haven’t changed my bank?
It looks like they fucked it up when they entered my bank details incorrectly onto the system and trying to shift the blame onto me.
So what it is the sort code is correct, only the last digi of the account number is wrong. What are the chances of that being an actual account with just 1 digi different out of the the 6+8 digis combo?
Also, how long does it usually take for a recall to be processed?
I am going to pay that incorrect account £1 later to see what will happen to get an idea myself. A colleague who has worked there for much longer told me they would not rule out someone was actually commuting a fraud. I don’t know, so before I get my union and then legal involved, I just want to get paid and let it slide, if HR is dodgy, it’s not my fight.
So any banking help is appreciated so if they are trying to call bluff I can react accordingly before it gets ugly. Union and legal will be the last step if now resolved by end of next week.

Bit of an odd one, do we have anyone works in the banking industry? Got some Qs re bank payment recall time/practice etc. Long story but I didn’t get paid in April because my work said they paid it into the wrong account and are blaming me for giving the wrong bank details (I didn’t) and now they are saying they will only pay me if/when they can recall the money.

Cake? I know a local bakery, husband and wife team. If you mention me, they should give you a discount. They asked me if I wanted to send cakes to a kings again but the fund has ran out.
Do you have a named contact at kings? It was a task and a half for me to actually get someone to approve and expect the deliveries. Also no alcohol allowed. I’ll DM deets in a mo.

Oh yes! Got 2 begonias and 3 Calathea and a wasabi plant coming tomorrow.

I got mine on Friday too, very happy with 5 out of the 6. 1 was way too small but it’s £2 and a bit each, so can’t complain.
I think I am going to repot the 5 bigger ones into the next size up pots and I’ll use a mix of houseplant repointing soil and perlite. Probably 70:30 ratio, depends on the types.

It’s a decent thing to do.
I was in a LBS once, chatting with the guys and getting my bike fixed, we all witnessed a car ran over a cat when the driver was was starting his a car, a cyclist saw it, stopped the driver and insisted he needed to take it to the vet. It happened in Dulwich, so the neighbourhood vet is less than 5 mins walk. The driver got out of the car, had an argument with the cyclist and drove off, all whilst the kitten was lying in the floor dying. In the end, the shop owner next door took the cat to the vet but it was too late.
It was probably preventable if the driver actually fucking looked! He was just starting his fucking car not driving 40mph!

You mean bank details? I actually wrote a very angry email asking for proof and telling them they are taking a piss but my mates told me to hold off until they “make their decision”. I just want to get paid and move on...
