I've been wearing INOV-8 shoes for ten years or so and having gone through a dozen or so pairs have only got good things to say about them. As ever, you'll get the best results if you can try a pair first, but for your needs I'd recommend Roclite or Trailtalon.

Hi all

I've used Carbon Copy Cloner to back up my Mac to an external disk. The process converted that disk to APFS. Now I can't access the files that were originally on that disk: they seem to have been moved to a 'Data' partition that I can see in disk utility, but can't access via the finder. How can I get to these files? Ta!

So it turns out that 2020 MacBook Pros don't work with Target Display Mode via Thunderbolt. Which means I have no use for this £50 piece of junk that they sold me.
Anyone want to give me £35 posted for this? I have only taken it out of the box, and discovered it doesn't work. It will work with earlier Thunderbolt 3 models. Probably. Or not. Who knows? Fuckin Apple fuckers.

Price takes into account the fact that someone will have to come and collect. Currently it's going to be a massive ball-ache to post. So no - sorry!

Priced to sell. Ten years old and I've had plenty of use out of it. It will be a good bike for a new owner but will need more money spent on it in the long term.

Aware that I haven't ridden it for a while, I've just ridden it around the block. It's all fine. No grinds, squeaks or rattles - well the mudguards rattle a bit.

Not at all. You could ride it away today and it would happily take you hundreds of miles barring a puncture. I was using it daily until I bought an Arkose a couple of months ago. All runs smoothly. The brakes on it aren't great, but then they never were!

Hello mate

It's the standard steel Surly fork that came with it - not sure it has a name. Braze-ons for cantilever brakes, drilled for calliper. Eyelet for mudguards. Fits anything up to a 700x42 tyre

I'm looking to sell my Cross Check. It's ten years old, used as a winter commuter, so it is a bit scruffy. But still a really solid bike. Always stored dry and kept clean-ish... The photos show its major flaws - faded paint work, strap rub on crank etc.

It had new wheels and a full pro service 18 months ago, since when it has done probably 800 miles

Does £350 seem fair? Let me know if that's wide of the mark. Ideally you could collect from Shrewsbury area. I'm often in London for work, so I could bring it down, but no idea when I might be heading that way in the circs.

Hi. Are you interested in buying a complete bike? I decided just yesterday that I'm going to sell my Cross Check. It's been my winter commuter for probably 8 years, so it's a bit tatty, but the frame's good with no dings or dents. I'm pretty sure its a 54, but I'll check when I get home. It's had new wheels in the last couple of years. Cranks a bit strap worn, but it's very ride-able. Will take some photos if you're interested. Let me know.

Don't waste your time overthinking it: just do it. If it all goes tits up you'll know it was the wrong decision, but at least you'll have tried.
