All sorts of things could be causing this.
Check out this article on using the Activity monitor and other tricks -
One interesting thing about 4'33" is that 4min + 33 sec = 273 seconds. Why is that interesting, you ask.
Well - negative 273 is absolute zero, a temperature which it is impossible to create.
So Cage has created 273 seconds of silence - but of course absolute silence also is impossible to create, as there will always be ambient noise.
And it's a damn sight better than any crap the kidz are listening to these days. -

Obviously as this was on the last page ppl have forgotten all about it
I'm really don't think surly is in the running for this one.
And FWIW I still like my idea of 2 forks and 2 wheel sets. Although Smallfurry is right, panniers instead of a basket are a sencible comprimise in this case.
The Cross Check isn't a light bike by any stretch of the imagination, but it is a cracking ride and very versatile.
How light does your multi-purpose bike have to be? You're going to putting baskets, panniers, mudguards and fat tyres on it - why the necessity to save a few grams on the frame? -

You can grab the app back ups from the external drive ~/Music/iTunes/Mobile Applications
The contact data from ~/Library/Application Support/AddressBook
Copy these files to the corresponding locations on the iMac (replacing existing files - you should make a back up of them)
Reset and resync iPhone to the Imac.
This is all conjecture - I haven't tried it.
(If the macbook died ages ago, what computer has the iPhone been syncing to in the mean time? That computer will have a back up) -
1) Don't try partitioning the iMac drive. As you suspect, this would result in an epic disaster.
b) I don't understand: you need to "access the iTunes account" - does this mean you need to get access to the files in the library? These will be on the cloned macbook drive, in users/Music/iTunes
And thirdly) Why are you trying to boot from the cloned macbook drive? Just use it as an external drive on the imac

Any idea on price for a paint job by Mercian? Initially I was just thinking about a powdercoat job.

Depends what you want doing. There's a price list here

What's wrong with the monarchy can be summed up by Prince Andrew:
Total fucking bell end; yet we have to pay for him to ponce around the world playing golf so that privately owned "British" companies can sell weapons to deeply unpleasant foreign powers.
I'm not a violent man, but come the revolution I'll be working over that prick with a crow-bar -
*Driver Proposal 5
That TfL introduces a condition in private hire drivers’ licenses that ‘Drivers must not make any remark of a sexual nature to a passenger. Licensed drivers are not permitted to become involved sexually, or have sexual contact, even with consent, whilst in a licensed vehicle.’*
Oh gee guys... Are you sure? We wouldn't want to cramp your style with some stupid old laws..

Don't become a teacher. Not in London anyway. If you're going to try and be any good it is incredibly hard work; the kids who really need you usually hate you; ditto the parents of said kids.
And those famously long holidays? You'll work so many hours of unpaid overtime that you'll not feel the benefit -

tom.
Thanks for taking the time and trouble to go through all this.
I do like hearing from people who know their shit.
So if I get my Finance Director to charge me, say, 10% of MV, what are the chances of the taxman bothering to argue over that? Given that they'd have to devote time and energy to checking the claim.

but theft of a bicycle shouldn't be heard in a crown court ? [imo]
Yep - this is what I was saying, and Dooks.
I don't know shit from Shinola when it comes to legal stuff, but aren't Crown Court trials really expensive drawn out affairs that can take weeks or months to resolve?
If bike thieves keep dragging cases to the Crown Court, aren't the police going to be more reluctant to push for prosecutions? -
Other than this quote
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-11680382
is there any evidence that she hates cyclists? To be fair, she doesn't say that the theft of a bike is a trivial offence - she says that someone accused of the theft of a bicycle shouldn't be entitled to a jury trial.
Maybe she's in favour of summary beatings for the thieving little shits? -

Oh sorry. If I'd have UTFS I could have put this in the cricket thread. How foolish of me!
