did not make to the trough so i spent monday morning riding in the fog on the slopes of the ribble valley.

and the sun was out on the upper slopes. it was colder in the valley than it was on the high ground.

about 60k.

so where are we this week - wed 17 nov 2010 ?

i am up north this weekend and i rode with clayton velo.

nice ride today about 100k up the ribble valley to just past settle and back. the sun came out. on the way back we stopped at garden makers cafe for a spot of lunch.

saw two big pelotons. the preston wheelers and the north lancs road club.

nice day today.

and i will ride in the trough of bowland tomorrow morning.

smiles all round.

i also saw multi grooves today.

twice in fact.

the first time he was going west along mile end road. i was going east. and he saw me.

and then later. he was going south on burdett. he did not see me cos i was in the caf.

seems like he gets about that mult grooves chap !

good news that the scheme is expanding.

and great that it is to the area where i live. (but i still have not been on one).

and not sure why it takes them 24 months to get the expanded area implemented.

and not sure why not to include the stratford and excel olympics site venues. surely a missed opportunity.

got stuck at work till ten 15 which was too late to set off.

more than the carbon pollution it is the noise pollution that bugs me.

i am very busy at work but hopefully i should make it for a couple of ales.

it will be a nice ride through east london and all that.

east is east....

i quite enjoyed that pub. great beer at prices much lower than other pubs.

and the ride there and back was good. so mild out there tonight. and to be honest for me the ride is as important as the beer and social. so nice one.

and we were all newbies at one point or another.

try the north ride coming up in mid november. it is on rides and races.

the rides are always a good place to introduce oneself.
