What are the best cranks for up to about £150? I fancy upgrading from the Andel that came on my steamroller but don't want to spend too much. is it possible to get something new and good for that much? would £150 buy an upgrade - I think the andel's are pretty average.
not sure what bb is in there, but I think it is sugino. Ideally after something with a 47t chain ring and it has to be black.
thanks.

I have no idea if these are good or not, but this might make the standard steamroller fork barspinnable

Two lovely bikes posted on the last page.
the pornroller is great http://www.fixedgeargallery.com/2007/sept/1/AlexDenham.htm
this is a beauty, I'm sure you could create something similar by following what that dude^ did with his steamroller. even if you ended up with a bike half as attractive as either of them you'd be onto a winner and you'd be safe in the knowledge that you'd have a really solid, hugely versatile bike.

yesterday and today (and numerous other times) spotted the same dude going north over blackfriars bridge just before 9am on a black and white viking. I'll say hello one day.
then this morning spotted a dude on a brown steamroller going up fleet street. you defo clocked my bike as I clocked yours, by the time I thought of something steamroller realted, besides 'nice bike' you were out of ear shot. I see it locked up in the same spot most days and always worry you'll loose a wheel.

Anyone know of any bike shops in London that sell the Vittoria Radonneur? I need new tyres badly and can't wait for tinternet deliveries.
Also, are these any good on the front?
if you've not found anywhere yet Condor have them in stock (they did at lunch time today, even in white*) so will be well worth a look.
I'm sure they'll be fine on the front, I've not tried but am extremely happy with the one i've had on the back for the last 6-7 months. great tyre, cheap too.
I'm thinking about getting some cross tyres for my surly, might have missed the need to get on that boat though.
- which is a bad idea.

I've spoken to a few bike shops about miche bb's this week and they have all said that they are really good.
