I use it for general riding with a good mix of off road (singletrack/fire roads rather than rock gardens!) Clipless are fine for what I do (jumping over banks, off steps, hopping over things etc,.) but wouldn't want to go too mad!
I just wanted a tough frame that is a bit more fun to throw around than the track based frames I was riding before.
Turned out I got what I was after as it is great fun. Good for riding distances in comfort and much better for messing around on during those rides. It never really felt right jumping over things, wheelying off curbs etc,. on a track bike!save Kerley the job.

An internet search of Morel Lavallee lesions shows that they are most commonly associated with motorcyclists and cyclists wjho are the types of people who willl hit tarmac at speed. One point I now recall from the orriginal accident is that my elbow was bear, in a short sleeved jersey, and shredded. My should was unharmed although my jersey was shredded and my shorts were completely undamaged although my buttock bought it. If my shorts had acted like my jersey I might not have suffered any worse injury than roadrash.
this sounds like a long winded way of trying to get people to ride with their bums out.

How long did you have to wait? Did cycle surgery charge anything? I think Condor charge 7.5% too, dammit.
By the way - Are the graphics on the Steamroller removable?
Evans can get Surly too. If they look at you blankly tell them to look at ISON distribution, who they do deal with (at least they did before Christmas).
Surly decals can be removed with a hairdryer and an old (or new if you want to damage it) bankcard.

I'd second getting a Surly (from Brixton if you're in London), I love mine and haven't regretted getting it for a second. Also, the service etc you get at Brixton is second to none. Unless you're a giant or midget chances are they will have one built up to test ride in your size too.
Condor might work out quite pricey, but if you did it right first time you wouldn't have to upgrade any bits.

Spotted the dude with the big red beard again this morning, exactly the same place as yesterday. I'm going to try to be 30 seconds earlier tomorrow so I can give you a DAS!
Also, at the same place (where Trinity Street crosses Borough high street), spotted a young lady on a blue track frame (the name of which may or may not have begun with 'o' - the frame that is, not the girl - I've never seen her before). anyway, hello if you're on here.
more interestingly, just before all this saw a fireman putting out a flaming moped. that was cool. what was even more cool was the look of pure joy on the face of a kid (about 8 I'd say) who was watching and was clearly more excited by this than anything else he had ever encountered. literally jumping up and down with excitement.

The cranks and bb came as standard on my Surly Steamroller and have been used for about 8 months. I’d rate the condition as very good, only a few marks on the cranks which are hardly noticeable. The bb is also in really good condition, fitted and removed professionally.
I’m only selling as I upgraded my cranks and needed a longer bb spindle, which makes both surplus to requirements. Would prefer to sell them together as that’s easier. Both can be yours for the dealtastic price of £40.
Andel track cranks: 170mm, 130bcd, 47t 3/32 chainring.
BB: I thought this was a Sugino, but the bearing bits says FSA on. The body of the BB says RPM. Square taper, sealed bearings. 68 x 103mm (according to the Surly website)I’ve been using this chainring with a 1/8” chain, and it runs very quietly, which is nice. Only has light wear.
I’ve also got a Token headset for use with threaded forks / quill stem. I fitted this to my old bike but then had to take it straight off as the stack height was too high for the forks, which I discovered were very short (shimano 105 only just made it!). Still in/got it’s box. It was fitted using a proper tool but removed with the old screwdriver and hammer technique, so it carries the resulting marks – the pics do it justice I think. Once fitted you’d never know it wasn’t brand new. Nice sealed cartridge bearings. £10
Prefer to meet Holborn area at lunchtimes or southeast evenings. If you dib, please also PM.
Thanks.
