main reason for selling is that it's just too big for what I need to carry most days so I use my old L bagaboo most of the time - in fact i've only used the pack once loaded up. up until the summer i carried more than i need to nowadays.....great as it is it's a lotta £s to be tied up when I'm not gonna really use it. i figure better to sell/trade it now while it's still as new -know what you mean though - spec is already done and the colour is the colour so i'm not asking for as new price - I can always throw in some tinted contacts so it matches your eyes?

yep - each to their own - i've had 2 bagaboo's and not impressed with either. if scott's happy enough to endorse pac and people run them for 10 years they've gotta be pretty decent - i just carry big bulkly loads so need a good fit on the cross-strap but most important the back padding.
who else stocks PAC other than BLB? -
-
They're only owned by the guy who originally owned timbuk....they're not connected otherwise.
Shame the wig didn't work for you...they're nice bags. I'd be interested to see your bag actually....if you're at polo on sunday bring it along for me to nose through..:)
not quite so corporate then! never been to polo yet and often not around sundays but happy to lend you the bag for a proper nose if you want! (or swap for a used bag of your own?!)

cheers Scott - I ordered a custom Wig bag but it just doesn't fit me - an expensive mistake so can't afford to make it again. (Anyone want to buy a Wig bagpack from me?) Didn't realise Rickshaw were a Timbuk 2 company...but strap padding looks decent so was tempted....I've modded my Bagaboo as best I can but it's not as good as I know one of your bags would be.... basically I'm looking for second best to what you produce! Will check out the new PACs though if I can - nothing beats seeing/trying in the flesh tho.

Rickshaw! http://www.rickshawbags.com/

Given Scott can't make bags until next year anyway have one of these? Any good? Scott mentioned them himself can't be all bad..... have tried a Bagaboo and ChicagoWig backpack and netiher as comfy as i'd like - not enough padding on the bagaboo and chicagowig just dont fit me body - made for a 6ft 2 14stone minimum I think!

Thought i'd add my tuppence... Cougar SLX frame, goldtec rear hub i'd been hoarding which has a 135mm axle and fits rear spacing perfect, so had to use it. Built on CXP30 rim, just waiting to find a few bits to finish. May change to drops and a cxp30 front to match rear rim.

i like the saddle! what is it?

could someone point me in the right direction - want to start road racing. don't know where to start... do i need a license, what bike can i race, what category should i race in... ? i live in sussex btw.
joining this a bit late but also looking to get into some longer road rides if not the odd race. Live in Dulwich so planning on getting in touch with Dulwich Paragon club. Have been scouring gumtree, roadcyclinguk, ebay classifieds for london based second hand road bikes. Not a lot out there really - anyone got any ideas other than those?
cheers -
Yeah thanks Benanza, I know it's expensive that's why I'm asking first.
On that link I thought it looked pretty nice: http://www.kurkku.jp/blog/2007/09/freitag_rex.html
Thanks for the tip on the PACs, I'll look into that but I live in Dublin so I can't go to that shop that easily...just listen to what everyone here has said - they're right. fuck it if it's padded or not. You want a decent bag - get grobag, wig or pac. If you think the straps are too much...think again. you get what you pay for and you get what you wait for. grobags have a wait for a reason. mass produced bags can be ok, but never as good as custom. anyway, panniers on fixed are the new thing, get those and get one step ahead

They are better than a lot of shoes since there's no mesh to let the water in. However, they're also warmer when the sun's shining for the same reason. BTW, I took the first ride with full mudguards on my bike (including front mudflap) and my shoes were completely dry!
full length guards defninitely the way to keep surface water off your feet - think I prefer wet feet though to the full-guarded look though ;-)

i need some new shoes - current ones have finally bitten the dust.
Consensus seems to be the Dominators but just wanted to check from peeps who have em already if they keep much water out in a light shower? Do they take long to dry? Can you take the insoles out to dry them separately? Questions questions!cheers if you can offer any answers :-)
