Ouch.thats Everton out of a top 4 place. fkd with injuries! why can't that happen to Villa.. they have been spawney!
We've had a couple of injuries, but it looks like the slide is starting anyway - the key players are looking knackered now.
I can't bear the thought of dropping to 5th, but can so easily see it happening. Out of the cup, dodgy draw in Europe and dropping behind Chelsea again. Gah.

bloke on white frame, white deep V and chrome drops on Chelsea bridge this morning, nice looking bike mate. also on William street by Hyde Park someone with LDFGSS saddle keyring thing spoke card, was going to say hello but you were locked in to headphones and looked very content. I was on the stickered up frame + risers you propably thought i was some hipster twunt ;)
The latter was me. If by 'content' you mean 'dopey and hungover' then yes. Sorry - bit rude and uncommunicative this morning.
Must try harder.

Why not just speak to those of the bike this week because of injury or stolen / broken bike? Same outcome, apart from it being voluntary.
Though I agree with making it more logical to swap someone onto a bike.
From experience, I would expect your cyclist to say:
Public transport is ridiculously expensive.
Public transport is uncomfortable, dirty and smelly.
Public transport is inconvenient and unreliable.
Public transport is full of the public.
I have got ill from the germs.
I have got fat from the lack of exercise.
I have turned into a slack-jawed drone.HTH.

JayGee & VeeVee this morning. Slowed to say goodmorning to V, and by then J had shot off into the distance - musta seen me coming.
Cornelius entering Wandsworth Bridge roundabout @ 12.02pm on Saturday.
Loads of lycra'd TT folk round the foot of Leith Hill yesterday. Blinkin flip those disc wheels / arrospoks etc don't half make a racket at speed.

Underworld is an incredible novel. The first setpiece was so monumental that I couldn't get past it for about a year. I knew I had to make sure I read the book when the time was right. Then I remember getting halfway through with about 500 pages left and being elated I still had so much left because I was so gripped. Of 1000 pages, possibly two could have been improved on.
It's a shame if you found it tedious and unreadable; for me it's going to remain one of the most enthralling reads of my life. I read loads; it still stands out. In the wake of 9/11, new resonances emerged which lent it an almost prescient quality. For a while that was mind-blowing.
just to carry on the Don Delillo sub-thread...
Well, Pjs - if you found it that good, i may just have to give it another go. It remains one of only 3 books I have started but not finished, so annoys me still because of that.
Mind you - I have just started a 1200 page sci-fi monster, so it may be a while... -

Nice to see / meet all at my first SE drinks. Nice to have a bit of a longer ride home than my 2 min Souths return.
Sorry I missed all the trixie / Norths folk later, though no doubt better for my head.
Had a good long chat to the chipmonger in the Balham chippy about 'good' and 'bad' rlj'ing and my lack of gears. Fish 'n' chips FTW.

Piss easy!
Villa were found out today, finally - how the fuck they're 3rd I don't know?! We dominated that game with a makshift team/formation and totally deserved the win
Trip to Wembley in May I think, nice replay of the '95 final I hope! :-)Meh. I think there was a real lack of interest / effort there. Back from the internationals, with 3 games in 6 days to look forward too. Hopefully saving it for Chelsea.
Still, at least we can concentrate on the league now.
Oh - and that Cahill is a despicable nasty little runt.

as above, hope this one has a happy outcome.
