boston - great bike scene, loads of good people, great (vegan) restaurants (Grasshopper and TJ's, best vegan food on the east coast!).
dc - i dunno, grew up there, and it's lots of fun, good music scene, lots to do, close to the wonderful outdoors that is virginia
philly - good arts scene, bike scene, music scene, vegan food. too small though.
chicago - never been, but always attracted me...

the 925 is a really nice bike, one of my favourite OTP's, however, having said that, i don't think redline is distributed over here...

maybe not enough spacers between top cup and stem, or stem and top cap? if the top of the steer tube is coming in contact with the top cap, then no matter how much you squash/tighten it, you'll just pull the starnut out, and you'll still have play in the headset. put a 5mm spacer in there and try again?

you could try using cork pads, made for carbon rims so they definitely won't do as much aesthetic damage to the rims, and i've heard they still work pretty well.

horatio The frame is one of BLB's custom(?) cromos. The face is one-of-a-kind custom flesh and beard.
that looks suspiciously like a resprayed iro... check the dropouts and the forks... exactly the same.

are you after the carbon one? if so, probably not the best thing to ride on the road... plus they're stoopid expensive.

the elementary stem is brilliant, four moving wedges, held in place by one bolt, super light, and really beautifully machined. had one on my bmx, never slipped.
