Can't remember seeing one on the forum, however, this is the method most people I know use. http://sheldonbrown.com/chainclean.html
+1 to this. Although i normally do this after every dryish ride..
If it's really bad then I put each part through one of those ultrasonic cleaning units before reassembly.

hi johnny.. i'm presuming you're LSF johnny?
I'd be up for doing a bit with you if you're leeds way over xmas.. would have to be steady pace for my fat old frame.
I'm mostly doing it for myself, not for Rapha or prizes, it just acts as bit of an incentive and encouragement to do some pedalling over the next week.

£3 to post classifieds is more than fair enough.. if people can be bothered with the various ways ebay takes a cut then this is no biggie.
The current projects forum thread is one of my favorites but I do feel a little upset when a newbie posts their first baby-blue fixie which they've spent ages on just to have their post bumped without any comments by a hundred different shots of various different carbon jog-wheels on on some kitchen scales or twenty "teaser" shots of the packaging for some brooks bartape etc.... maybe a finished projects thread with a "one post" limit could work?

In the office today.. who's got a definitive aeropress/porlex technique?
going to really get my geek on. Got scales, thermometer etc. I've been using the hasbean inverted brew technique with the grinder set about 3 clicks off the finest setting but i'm looking to get something as close to a double espresso shot as possible.
