http://www.seat61.com/Ireland.htm all the info you need. You will have to book your bike onto the train (in person at the station). Best to do this a couple of weeks beforehand to be sure. Don't need to book your bike onto the ferry, just pay the surcharge (£5 each way) at the ferry terminal.

Cheaper to fly to India, get dental work done, have holiday, come home. I have been to this place - just got a checkup and clean but met lots of people there on "dental holidays". It's very good.

There is also some top notch grade 6+ himalayan white water nearby for any kayaking fans (the reason I was in Rishikesh).

You must know people I know. I'm 28 and Oxford was my local town and most of my mates lived there. Never managed to make it out as much as I wanted though on a account of living a in the middle of no where.
Managed to get to a few source night myself and free parties in the area. Never made it to a Port Meadow party unfortunately, a few out on the Ridgeway and one nr Wolvercote I remember.
I went to school at Peers (Total Science were a couple of years above me), also knew a bunch of people from the rest of the schools in Ox and a fair few from out in the shire - Oxford's a small place! I'll have to make it to one of the drinks at some point and we can chat Oxford.

The nitto M12 mini front rack is really good and cheap (£30 ish) if you have a frame with v/canti braze-ons. They also do one that clamps round your forks.

Does anyone know what the cycle storage on the Stena Line ferry from Harwich to Hook of Holland is like? I'm guessing we have to keep them where the cars are parked? Just a bit worried that someone will open their car door and prang my frame...
When I did that route, they had a special room off to one side just for bikes, with straps to secure frame to wall and also metal rails for locking to. We were at the front of the queue, but they made all the bikes (about 6 in total) wait until all the cars had been loaded.
