Looks really good. I'm trying to work out how to get it done at ours but the tales of dodgy trades worry me - willing to do stuff myself but not sure on skills required or how long it takes so any experiences are useful! We'll be doing just one room to start with so less area at least, but still sounds like a lot of work and my day job keeps me busy enough.

We've had ours 4 or 5 years now? It's 2018 and we got it 1 year from new from BMW direct, have had no issues at all. The battery range for the electric has prob dropped a bit, is the one thing I would note, but build quality is great and it works for us with 2 kids (now 2&6) - it is not really possible to use all 5 seats when you have child seats in place.

We've done all servicing etc with BMW which is fine - Croydon are actually pretty good service and reachable from where we are SE.

Overall we're really happy with it though, would recommend

We have one, exactly that model! It's nice to drive as family appropriate cars go.

Note that the PHEV model isn't much of an MPV though, as the lower space needed in the back is given to batteries instead of extra seats

I think you can tell by looking at graphs of interest rates for any other major economy - e.g. US rates went up at a similar time, same shows in a graph of any other country I've tried to Google (France, Sweden, us so far)

As I understand it, there was a spike caused by the mini budget but there was also a shift in global interest rates. So she made things worse, but the idea we'd still be on rock bottom interest rates without her is not really supportable - she just accelerated the shift to the new higher rates that would have happened anyway
