I tightened (half a turn) and re-trued my Fuji wheels about a month after buying them. 3000 miles on and they're still going strong with only one re-true each (both crash induced).

You can find old photos of the Classics in the 60s and 70s with people in Rapha clothing, so I think somehow or other it is an old brand which has been bought and re-launched.

Also, I maintain that the lack of a women's range is problematic, in my humble opinion.

Awesome stuff dude! Hope all that hill climb training in Surrey comes in handy. Don't have any details, but doesn't Laurent Fignon do guided stuff around the Pyrenees? That'd be pretty legendary to ride shoulder to shoulder with the big man. At the very least you could borrow his bike.

not really, a shaft-driven bike perhaps? the only thing you can make it better is purely how the bike look which is down to personal preference.

Actually the shaft-driven bike was first invented in sometime in the 1890s and keeps reappearing occasionally. I saw one locked up in Kensington only last year. They are significantly less efficient than chain driven bikes; presumably why they have never caught on.
