I dont like Rolex either , have bought and sold in the past but is a brand I have never worn . I had a client that bought a GMT 2 in 1998 paying circa 2k and sold last year to buy an IWC from me , got £3500 for it .

The best balance of investment/wearability has to be any " sports " Rolex . Wear it , enjoy it , dont abuse it and get it serviced regularly and keep its box and papers safe and you will always make money . I work for a jewellers with 7 stores , so we have most of the luxury brands inc a huge new Rolex showroom in our Windsor store . I am the manager of our Abingdon store . I wear most regularly a black dialled IWC Spitfire pilot from 2006 .

We have no probs with any of them , less hassle than any of the other breeds we have had fur wise . Only if they get sticky buds or something , but yes it does get everywhere ......

Re the Japanese thing above , the Tokyo riot police have to spend a year training in Yoshinkan Aikido full time before they qualify . Widely known to be one of the most brutal courses in martial arts . Full time 5 days a week for a year , you have to be a 3rd dan in one art or a first dan in two to get on . Civilians can do as well . A mate of mine wrote a book about doing it , called Angry White Pyjamas deffo worth a read .

It was obviously meant to stay mine , I did think of selling f+f and using its bits to build up the brand new and boxed Redline Monocog 29er i've had for three years and not done anything with , never know I may still . Singlecross is great bike and hey it's nearly 'cross season again......

I think the 2006 langster was more "track" and the geometry of 2007 onwards was more like the Allez road bike . I love my Langster , built from frameset bought in 08 for £99 from Pearsons . if my garage was on fire it would be the bike I grabbed , even tho it tried to kill me 3 weeks ago when it broke both my elbows , wrist and both hands !

worth every penny . cant get anymore , and if I am honest only want to get rid of if I can get enough to fund Cannondale 'cross frame I have been offered . singlecross is in my mind great value compared to what else is available at sensible money .
