Jambon , thinking about it , fork , headset and spacers were sourced thru Summertown Cycles in Oxford . May be worth giving them a shout.......

Jambon sorry just got the " chassis " how I like it , so cant help with spacer I'm afraid . I think system 6 look and feel better with the beefier super six fork . Collection includes out of sight another American made cannondale frame as well as langster , singlecross and my daughters planet x superlight team ( she's only 12 and a little bit spoiled ! ) looking forward to seeing future updates .......

I've got one of those system 6's , mine a bit more low rent tho ... Still fascinating thread tho . Ridden / owned many things over past few years this is by far the best . Flatters an old chunky monkey like me every time we go out .

Gonna try and show up , still not 100% over the lurgey had for the last few weeks so have only been out once in the last month . But I have been told course is flat and therefore ideal as a ss course . So gonna ride and be a mobile chicane for everyone , even if I have to bail half way round . Look for sharkpits jersey , specialized singlecross and a fat bloke sniffing .

Just a heads up really regarding supporting local bike shops over the evils of the interweb . Anybody in the local surroundings to Oxford or Abingdon ish area that needs anything should check out either Rides On Air in Wallingford or its sister shop. Behind Bars in Abingdon . Really cool guys who know their stuff .Lee is top bloke and Dan the mechanic in Wallingford is really switched on . Mention you know Ed the jeweller and you will probably get a deal .

They have built all my my bikes and Lee particularly knows whats what ,whether it was my Cannondale system six or more recently my tricross singlecoss they are the man . They will look after you .

Feeling a little better , so Swindon and Lydiard park it is then . Still don't think got much hope tho ......

Ok , give me a shout of encouragement . I will need it as complete novice and thus way out of my depth . Changing chainring to 38 tooth tonight and swapping brakes and bars as well . I have no illusions of greatness , just want to have a laugh and improve as the season progresses . Gonna blame the fact that I am lapped by everyone at least a dozen times on the fact am running ss rather than I am a bit fat !

I'm doing the first round of the wessex league in Oxford on Saturday on my singlecross . If anyone about I will wearing my sharkpits jersey and looking fearful .

I've got a ss tricross as well and love it . Gonna do some of the Wessex league 'cross races on it , starting next weekend . Taken off road with some of the local mtb'ers and altho not as quick as them , I think I was deffo having more fun .
