I've read all the other threads about knee problems, so I have indeed tried adjusting my riding position in various ways, taking glucosamine and riding in a low gearing.
But I was just wondering if anyone knows any specific exercises you can do to strengthen the muscles supporting your knees? I have quite a bit of pain in one knee at the front under the knee cap, probably due to snowboarding and skating and stuff. Does anyone know any good exercises to help?

I got pretty shaken up this morning when someone tried to kill me just to make a point. Red van man was annoyed because I was going too slowly for him, so he whizzed round me to the right then crossed right in front of me insanely quickly and very close to take a left turning. I mean, I was fucking close to being in an ambulance. It actually really upset me that people like that exist; people that actually want you dead or seriously injured. WTF? But I put it out of my mind after a couple of minutes and got on with getting on with it.
Anyway, my point is, that there's a lot of bad in this world, but you can't let in ruin your life. Just concentrate on the positive. The fact that you're back on your bike after an accident is fantastic - try and banish negative thoughts and worry, build your confidence slowly and be happy that you can ride a bike at all.
I hope the poor woman on the bridge is ok. My thoughts are with her.

hi Vic!
I did get a clamp on brake for the Vivalo but I never used it in the end. It took so long to turn up that I got used to riding brakeless.
Now I'm riding a Charge Plug so the brake is for that one. I went out on it this morning for the first time but my wrist is still so weak that it felt really dodgy without a brake for peace of mind. So I had to get the bloody tube again...
Still, I'll be back riding tomorrow. Yippee! -

After a summer with a broken wrist, I've just found out that I'm allowed back on the bike. Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!
I really can't fall on it though as it's not very strong yet and I don't want to take any chances. So I'm gonna put a brake on my bike but I don't have a lever.
Anyone got one that they'd like to lend me/sell me? -

that looks good. Apart from the fact its a Friday night. Beer beckons...
