Are there any dualathons which are bike and swim only?
I hate running but am pretty good at the other two and really want to do something like this
For triathlons, do you reckon its possible to just blag the running leg if your swimming and cycling is strong. Or is training really needed?Sorry - I misunderstood - dualathons - that starts with swords, moves on to pistols and then back to swords - no running involved at all

I'm looking at doing the Hillingdon Duathlon on 9 November. It's 2m run/10 m cycle/1m run. Anyone else up for it. I emailed one of the organisers and, yes, you can use a fixed gear bike. Yey.

No a lot of running and the cycling in on their one-mile enclosed track (10 laps). Anyone know what kind of gearing would suit this course?

I actually do play the harmonica and teach it - www.myspace.com/daveshannonsdeadcatbounce - but these emails seem to come from the same keypad as those lottery and investment ones thae begin 'Dearly beloved'

I got an email from someone from the USA - this is true by the way - who is sending their 12-year-old son to the UK to be educated. Part of this plan, apparantly, is to hire me for two days a week of private harmonica lessons, over a six-month period. I have to get the ball rolling by letting the parents know what I would charge.
I get three or four such emails a year relationing to harmonica tuition. I am yet to reply to one...
