This event is clearly subversive. I have seen the effect it has on sane people first hand, and it must be stopped. Surely the organisers will see sense and call off this madness before it is too late.

I'm doing this 180km sportive on 10 April in the Chilterns. There is 2,044m of climbing and a peak of 244m. Also, there is a 90km route. This is the inaugural event.

Is anyone else planning to do this the Pro VO2 Longest Day on 10.04.11? I'm down for the 180km (there is a 90km route too), but do not know anyone taking part. Looking to do this at a modest 15-16mph, but would like to find a like-minded group.

I think the Crudracers give better coverage across brakes and front mech, but the Race Blades look better and are more easily removed
