This was actually the first event ride I've ever NOT had to stop to wee. Hydration managed.

Timings are a bit strange I think.

My garmin and SRM both show the same time, but the official timing has me finishing 2 minutes after that.

That could be if you are using auto-pause, the Garmin time is moving time and does not include stopping for traffic lights, peeing, etc.

I see my official time is 04:02:12 - but I am mistakenly listed for the short course. If I hadn't stopped for Ludwig when he fell and crashed a few red lights I would have made the gold time. But I'm a good boy...

Great ride today. Hope you're feeling better, Ludwig. I got round in 4:02, 21 mins faster than last year. Couldn't find a changing to work with on the flats. Maybe an earlier start time would have helped.

Any one have any problems with pedal strikes on there Steamroller? trying to decide if i should go fixed or single speed, or possibly both but i doubt id ever use both sides, if i go fixed i may go brakeless

No pedal strikes ever in 3 yrs: fixed, 165mm cranks, 25mm tyres

Any minor differences should be easily fixed by playing with stem length, seatpost layback and saddle positioning.
