Southbank made me think of the founders arms. On the river, railings for bike parking and the food is ok. Plus, tramp beer potential in the summer.
http://www.foundersarms.co.uk/indexI also love the Captian Kidd, but it might be too far East for some.

I regularly have meow conversations with the Wolf.
Sometimes he'll come in the cat flap and we might be in bed or upstairs and I will hear a plaintive 'I'm here - where the fuck are you?' 'Meow', when I meow back - I get another meow, just slightly closer - eventually he'll appear.
He also does mini meow chirps to say hello, or to get my attention. The wolf and I have always meowed at each other, ever since his meowing at the back of the house allowed me to find him and rescue him off of our garage roof. MOC often calls him the MeowMachine.

I actually did their 20 days for £20 deal, its just down the road from work for me and I can get a class in before work. I thoroughly enjoy it and like the fact you can race people in the class. I think its a bit expensive - but the bikes are the best i've used and the studio and changing rooms are ace. They even did a lunchtime Tourmelet filmed climb last week - where the instructor had filmed his climb and you had it on the big screen in front so you could follow the ride.
After each ride you get emailed your stats, and can see your improvement on your account on their website - I found this really motivating as I could see myself improving weekly
They are doing £15 for 20 days riding at the moment, its worth it just for the try
http://www.cyclebeat.co.uk/sportpursuitI'm now slightly hooked, have got the roadies at work into it and we now have a beatboard championships spreadsheet at work with all our stats on it.
After the deal ran out I opted for the 10 ride pass (and go once a week instead of 2), which I got a 10% discount on. I'd love to have a monthly pass but its just too damn pricey. -

I'm hoping that when I reset it it loses the very lame recording of me saying "DINNERZ" as a joke, not realising it would play three times at every feeding with no way of deleting it.
Just found the instructions and scanned them in before reading the above.
Ours has Mike saying 'Ah! Wolfenstein' (his normal greeting for the cat) very loudly. -
Balls. I've lost my instructions and need to change the feeding cycle. The download link on the Andrew James site doesn't work for me. Anyone got one of these and fancies scanning the instructions?
ha I'm trying to find mine at the moment as it threw a spaz and didnt feed the wolf for two days and I had to reset it, I have them somewhere - when I find them I'll scan them and send

MBK really adores wolfie doesn't he? :)
Yeh he seems to follow him around with hero like adoration. Initially Wolfie was fairly indifferent to him, but now he seems to take a bit more notice of him - he's probably caved as MBK is going nowhere, so he might as well have an ally rather than an enemy directly over the road from him.

I was awoken by an angry cat this morning, this is usually the wolf guarding his territory - however on looking up he was asleep on the bed next to me. When I left the house early this morning I was met by a meowing MBK. I think the wolf may have trained him in angry cat techniques to take early sentry duty and see off any intruders, so he can sleep in the warm.
clever fucker.

I'm on the citrus fruit nuuns at the moment which are a break from my normal tri-berry.
Am liking them but about to run out - am working my way through the flavours
