Hi Guys,
Got a bit of an issue on the Charge, which started after it was left outside for a couple of nights in rain/cold when my lock broke a while back.
When I start to ride the bike in the morning I get a knocking sounds coming from the back wheel, after about half a mile it disappears. The sound only appears if I havent ridden the bike for a night or day, it doesnt occur if i'm off the bike and spinning the pedals, and it doesnt appear to be coming from the bottom bracket, its almost like there is something caught in the spokes, but its louder than that and repeats as the wheel goes around (not as i push the cranks although havent tried it on single speed cog yet). Going to clean and regrease the chain tonight but wondered if you had any ideas.ta

Sorry for the slight thread hijack but i'm still on topic ;-)
I'm in the market for some Sidi's too, but want to try some as I have wierd feet and have to have insoles. Who are the best bet to actually have some in shop in Central London?
Evans don't look particularly promising, I'm going to check 'On Your Bike' in Tooley St on the way home.
I dont mind about the style just want to get the size right, then i can buy on the net. -

Ok the bike is finally Free!
So the question is what do i replace it with, I cant say i'm overly impressed with the Abus cable locks now so am thinking of a NY Kryptonite D lock which is a similar price to replace it
Ideally i'd like the forgetaboutit big bastard chain but i can afford £90 for a lock at the moment. Having just spent that on a locksmith..Any thoughts or past experiences with them? I'm looking to spend no more than £60 on a lock to basically leave at work.

i dont muck about me ;-)
because of where its locked (at work) there's a load of bollocks about the landlords kicking off about it the fact that i'm not insured and using heavy machinery on their property, so I'm still waiting for the locksmith to turn up, should be here at noon, hopefully he can save the lock - for the money I'm paying he bloody should do!
I'm just amazed its lasted 2 nights in that carpark without something happening to it! -

jonny the commute to the job is proving rich for this thread, before i had even got to brixton this morning i saw two on railton road, tall guy on an old converted raleigh, single speed, then just after a guy an old red condor with red rims. both nice bikes but the pick of them was on kennington road. a guy on a pearly pink mtb conversion (i think - defo not road geometry) with mudguards. really nicely done and put together, chris king headsets and the like. he was wearing one of those rasta style hats
I see the rasta guy all the time round Clapham, Stockwell, he has a lovely bike and is brightly coloured in everyway

not sure if its sealed or unsealed, will check tonight, hoping its just the chain.
