cheers mate, yeah i'll get the most out of the tyres before I replace and i've got a box fresh 105 cheap from wiggle (came without instructions but was under 15 delivered. Can't grumble on that one). I've not really got the cash for the pair of cane creeks and wait to flog so I've seen a single for 12 which I'll grab tomorrow with a cable. So i reckon i'll wrack on a brake and fit my spd's and that'll be me on the road once again for the next year till I save the chedders for some other parts. I'll check out the rubinos.
Many thanks again for your comments and i'll let you know how it goes.

So i've got as littel cash to play with as you by the sound of it so any tips on replacement bits and pieces then i'm all ears. now.. where's that electrical tape?... -

i've got a fiar bit of time and I've decided not to go for the fuji track route as i've not got the cash for replacing those shitty wheels etc. I'm building knowledge all the time although i've not got any of the specialist tools. I'm kinda on the road of "you gotta start somewhere" but I have just sold my road bike and now already a bit twitchy at having to catch the tube in the morning! Your right though, i've got a limited budget and i reckon even that old thing will go way past my wallet.

Ok, sourcing the fuji track, got to try and sell my commuter first (if anyone knows of a second hand fuji track going 60cm then please let me know and i'm going to fill every nook and cranny with bits and pieces between now and when I leave for OZ! All sorted, cheers guys. I'll speak to you soon again no doubt!!

ok guys, great advice has me truly torn between the two options. Fuji track or build up a basic fixie... Front brake is a must, especially fanging it down borough high street. I spotted a similar thread with a link to a Shimano 105. The pista isn't is mentioned but isn't an option. Decisions. If i do decide on a second hand frame is teh best way to measure inside leg minus 1 inch minus 10inch or is that way off the mark? I'm 6 ft 4 and currently I feel like a steer a boat to work. Could i go a bit lower than the recomended? I'm moving to Melbourne next July with my girlfriend and new born so if I can raise the monies it would be nice to take a BJ over there to remind me of blighty!!

Won 1 ticket to Paris on the new Eurostar (why not two I have no idea... that's going on Ebay for a starters) for suggesting the sycle scheme to the company I work for. my reckoning is that they'll set it up through Evans or Cycle Surgery even though I desperatly tried to plug Brixton and Holloway cycles that would fit in with our campany image (we're a charity) but I don't think they'll go for either. Anyway... no need for a bike as i've a Fuji track that I'm going to keep for a year at the very least but say if I wanted to purchase a new frame in a years time, would any of these two (Evans or CS) order me in something tasty or would I be limited to what they usually stock?
Cheers Guys
