It's the best we've probably got in this country, but nothing much can prepare you for the Alps or Pyranees. Having said that, the kilotogo Peaks ride looks pretty fearsome.

"To put it in perspective:
First 3.5 miles are like the Cat & Fiddle. It's essentially like the first half going up from the Macc Direction.
Then it's 11 miles of 9% - 3 times harder than the Cat & Fiddle and 50% longer!... Read more
Good luck!"

it is 64 miles not km though innit?
yes it looks hard and i shall complain but:
"To be a cyclist is to be a student of pain....at cycling's core lies pain, hard and bitter as the pit inside a juicy peach. It doesn't matter if you're sprinting for an Olympic medal, a town sign, a trailhead, or the rest stop with the homemade brownies. If you never confront pain, you're missing the essence of the sport. Without pain, there's no adversity. Without adversity, no challenge. Without challenge, no improvement. No improvement, no sense of accomplishment and no deep-down joy. Might as well be playing Tiddly-Winks." Scott Martin
hmmm. it appears to have winnats pass in the small one which seems a bit unfair i think..poor nes..you gonna do it ronnie? which one?
