54 miles (Out via Disley, back via Macc/Alderley).
Hilly, but of the long drag rather than the oh fuck variety. Includes descent of the
Cat and Fiddle, which is about as good as it gets.Sat 6th June:
56 miles, out via Marple and Glossop, over Holme Moss from the 'easy' side.
Reverse the ride to do Holme Moss from the 'hard' side

how out of hill fitness are people? we could do a 20 mileish ride in the hills on 25th april, summat like this:
http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=2599418or the guy in hebden said it's a 20 min climb (depending on fitness) out of hebden then it's flat on the tops. that could be WELL nice.

54 miles (Out via Disley, back via Macc/Alderley).
Can cut it down a bit by getting train to Disley/Whaley Bridge

maybe if we do the hebden ride we could watch this in that social club they have there or at ian's house, I have it...
A Boy, a Girl and a Bike (1949) Bike Right.
Diana Dors and Anthony Newly co-star.
Set around the hills of Hebden Bridge and focuses around a love triangle between a working class woman, a man from a local cycle club and a middle class motor fanatic who finds love and joys of cycling. A slim Diana Dors amusing bit when she stuffs her face in a tea-shop. Out of the rain on a ride the cyclists take a break for a smoke, ripping stuff. Jimmy Saville appears somewhere in the film as a cycling extra. -
add your rides to (where, how far, hilly/flat), route map:

Meet town hall ride to bolton and back via horwich etc (some hills)
Maye we can plan the routes so people have a better idea and can also print off the map to bring with them:
