Non none at all if its the kilotogo ride. Absolutely none. http://www.kilotogo.com/index.php?option=vlly iew_route&distance_id=21&event_id=6
ha! where was that? is the longer ride route up too? why can't i see it??
-
hmm not sure, i thought it was a loop...it doesn't give hardly any info on route etc.
even when you sign up just this:
"Between 10 and 5 days before the event takes place you will receive an email with full joining instructions for the ride - where to be, when, signing-on process etc."
early this saturday oron 27th, or both? i think i'm gonna ride to leeds on saturday...the rochdale way over blackstone edge then up through Halifax..have you ridden the oldham way? what's it like?
-
i am ruddy registered for the Tour of the Peak...but only for the 64 miler....still bit scared/excited though...let's get holme moss in. me and seth are gonna ride up blackstone egde from macc then ride down to littleborough then back up and down to sowerby bridge next week...
just spoke to him about doing the Stalybridge - the moors - Holmfirth - Holme Moss - Glossop - Home. he is up for it...can you do 27th June, we can..

looks like it's a no go..only had 2 people confirm a place and said 10+ would make it a goer. will post if more register.
ALSO people who are up for the cat and fiddle on the 20th are you up for starting EARLIER??? I want to get to Disley for 2pm, what time do you think we should set off going on last time? When we get to Disley we have to go open a nature resurve at a local school!!!! We shall be celebrities..i know it sounds random and i told them we'll be in lycra but the theme for the summer fair is sport anyway so we'll just fit right in...you can always skulk at the back for ten minutes if you don't want to do that bit though....
-
he was talking to me about branson this morning, something about how he earns a million quid a minute or something..the virgin train people wouldn't let me on the train with my bike...
i think he (seth not branson) is planning to stay at mine before anyway so can totally leave from MCR...we are thinking of staying a few days longer out there but not sure yet...i guess we'll need to decide asap. so 5th it is then? am WELL excited.
i read this quote earlier though...
"then the road goes up at around 10% and immediately it hurts and immediately you know that it has barely begun and that you're already in serious, serious bother, that you don't have any more gears"
eeeeekk
we are gonna do the Peak Challenge though, Seth reckons Ventoux will be good training for it..hahahaha imagine the Ventoux being training..Oh. my. god.
http://www.kilotogo.com/index.php?option=event_detail&event_id=6
we should do it as an ibikemcrventoux team...esp if ste designs us those jerseys....

hey poloista's
i am trying to sort the timetable for the mini festival and thought you lot could sort a little polo try out friendly social thing. at the mo thursday night and sunday pm would be good for me but any evening really just let me know asap. a time, a place and a date DURING THE 1ST WEEK OF OCTOBER.
It is to get returning and fresher students involved in our gloriuos biking community so needs to be a nice friendly thing where people can share knowledge and skills...maybe seasoned players should play less so newbies don't get too intimidated!!! but run it however you like...you could do a demo first but that might put some people off if it looks too scary to them, which it can i guess..
remember it might be torrential rain and cold in october, somewhere near a warm pub might be good!
thanks masses lovelies, i shall return when i am less obsessed with geting thighs of steel and mountains x x x

no worries.. i get sent loads of job stuff so i'll just post em up here when i do..
if you have any spare time and want to get some experience i need people to volunteer to help with the following bike rides, i am well good at writing glowing references for helpers!
I am looking for volunteers to help with the following activities. On the bike rides you shall be an extra pair of eyes and ears to ensure the children's safety.
They shall be real fun activities.. Please get in touch if you'd like to help.
Thanks,
