Works fine on my mac mini 4gb ram 2.6ghz and was a bit slow on old macbook 2.13ghz until I put in some more ram. The only thing that didn't work after the upgrade was some safari extension I didn't use anymore anyway. Do it!
My 2009 iMac Intel core duo 3.33ghz / 4 gb ram seems generally a bit slower, so will finally get round to getting some more RAM. Initially I had a couple of instances of it hanging with a blank screen, but no probs since I updated IPhoto, although it may have been unrelated.

I've always found that, no matter how waterproof the shoes, your feet will end up wet and frozen from water going down your legs and into the shoes. Not great to ride in, but given it'll be cold and wet and there'll be no hot shower at the end, I'd seriously consider some goretex over trousers.

^indeed. Lemond was also fairly scathing in that long interview with Kimmage published in 2r. I think he said that LA's mum asked him how she could 'stop him being such an arsehole'!

Cable calipers can be set up to work really nicely. But you need highly adjustable levers (speed dials as mentioned are aces), or loads of patience. You cant adjust bite point or pull ration on road levers. So it can up hill battle.
I found the Hayes cable disks have all the adjustment you need at the caliper. Took less than 10 mins... When installing them set the cable length so the pads sit quite close to the rotor. The inner pad is static and adjusted in/out with a 5mm alen key, finally cable tension can be fine tuned with a barrel adjuster on the caliper.

I've got Hayes CX5s on my commuter / kid carrier. Can't fault them. They were dead easy to set up, and after that have required nothing apart from a cable tightening after the initial stretch. Fit and forget really. Powerful and predicible. Dunno about needing them on a road bike though.

I found it great - really straightforward. Until it wasn't.

Problems started when importing - programme freezes and has to be forced to quit. Have tried rebuilding the library by pressing the Apple and options keys when restarting iPhoto, and then selecting 'rebuild the library database from the automatic back-up'. Have also tried rebuilding the library usingiPhoto Library manager. Any other ideas much appreciated
