Cheers to all that came down to last weeks repairs session. Big thank you to Condor and Via Atellier for being such fantastic hosts, and Apidura for joining the evening session. Hi to the Forummers who popped in, lovely to see new faces and old. Also big thanks to Albion colleagues, everything worked out perfectly.
Here's some photos to get an idea of the type of repairs we were doing. Majority was scuffs/scrapes on lycra, knees and hips on winter tights type-of-thing, that we can patch over with heat-bonded stretch panels, then zig-zag stitched for durability.

Alas, no great slight here, simply that it was underpriced last year, and inflation, global price rises knocking on. At the core, fibre/fabric processing/production uses a lot of energy (heat, water) so all mills' pricing are up. Think you can see these price increase across many textile products. It's frustrating to see, but similarly we (the consumers/users) had high-quality/attractive-pricing for so long*.
@Joepud01; I did use a lightweight Zoa to make a gilet ...skip to 8m50 here;

but will feedback request for commercial version!@Bossman similarly, I did make/attach a hood to an Ultralight Insulated for Josh Ibbett (Tour Devide '22). ...maybe this could be an option on next gen Ultralight Insulated...
Scuffs & Tears free-repairs this Wednesday 22nd at Condor Cycles, from 8.00am - 14.00, then evening session 17.00-20.30 at Via Atelier , with a screening of Le Coursier. All welcome! We'll have repair patches to take away if you don't have time to stick around, or just pop in to say hi :)
*forum 10% disc is still working but let me know if not and I'll look into it. Sometimes gets cranky with site updates.

Sorry - as ever - for delay
@Bossman yes, absolutely, been thinking about this loads over the last 12 months, just haven't had the time. We've got someone from studio heading to Fat Viking again in the New Year, so hoping to have something(s) up and running for then. ..am cautious to say too much, time always swamps ambition.@Johnnyw75 yes, lovely film - if you haven't seen, the new Lakeland200 Canyon film is pretty incredible too. Just want to go and see that scenery. @hippy ^too
@giles337 I'm afraid not :( I liked mine so much, I got the matching rainjacket.
@timmah! as @joepud01 says, it's a barbag, not a pocket, but it does give a substantial amount of protection over a road rainjacket. I would say you can use it in a wide range of temps, with venting/heat dump through wide cuffs, pockets, two-way zip, but then stick on an insulation layer, zip it up, and it's good for grimmest winter days.
@Mat-CR We don't have more coming in this season, so only whats about. Complicated to explain, but we only make what is needed on a 'sustainable growth' strategy. Sorry it's frustrating, but the entire industry needs a more slow-and-steady approach. ....as Black Friday approaches....

Thanks @Skinny all credit to the team behind it, especially Finley who shot/edited/produced the film. He spent a lot of time living & riding alongside Marin, plus following his races. Look forward to seeing what his future holds!

Here's the film we screened in Kendal last week;
https://www.albioncycling.com/landing/le-coursier
The Q&A after was really interesting, and Marin's insight into rejection of - what some might consider - attractive aspects of racing and media, which is touched on in the film.

an old (c.2010?) 100% merino jersey. Long sleeve, black, quarter length zip, pockets on the back
Fixed Jersey, great product! Probably best bet is to pick one up on ebay, not sure you'll get the same value (quality of merino to price) from anything else these days. Icebreaker will do something in a similar weight/style and quality of merino, just won't be cycle-focused.

Trailer by far easiest way to transport mobile studio around for last week's repairs sessions . Only problem is I'm now considering getting hold of the bigger Bill model...
