26 mile loop from Cuffley. Profile: mixture of hilly and flat; also quite 'technical'.

The route is a little shorter this time. Even if we're beleaguered by mechanicals (again), we shouldn't end up in the first wave of Sunday lunchtime twats; if it goes well (I will probably navigate 'on the hoof', but Garmin assistance is useful), we'll get round in an hour and a half or something.

There are some short sharp hills, but they're fine on medium gear fixed; and slightly twisty/bumpy descents.

North Londoners might consider riding out (if they're in the market for miles), and I expect the train stops at Finsbury Park.

Way better, I think you'll need to level them off a bit rather than follow the angle of the top tube if you want to use the "horn" part of the bars.

Chiswick/Kew Bridge to Black Heath tea hut.

The weather is pretty good today and possibly not going to last and I need to stetch my legs.

I'm leaving work near Kew Bridge at about 5.30pm this evening and riding to the Black Heath tea hut.
I'll be on my winter hack road bike and want to go at a reasonable 17-18 mph and company would be nice, so if you wanna come meet at 5.45 at north side of Kew Bridge or I will pass the ICA steps on the Mall/ corner of Horse Guards Parade at 6.15/20ish and could meet there. Then on for a nice cuppa at the tea hut. Before heading toward Hackney.

I find the front of the new shimano carbon levers too wide to pull on when on the hoods this causes an ache in my hands if riding for more than an hour or two.

I'll be converting to Sram once I have the money/find the cheapest mug/supplier.
