Cheers to everyone who pitched in and lent a hand yesterday. The day definitely happened thanks to everyone's hard work. Big thanks to all the polo people who helped out, but special thanks goes to Claire (honorary polo-er) and Chris who baked some of the delicious food. Also to Cameron, Big Daddy Wayne, Phil and Pip, who all helped out even though they weren't playing in the tournament.
The day started off with a lot of stress from the market managers, as a couple of Rik's shots went flying out into the glass jewlelry stall they had positioned right next to the court. Things settled down though and it ended up fine, with the Spitalfields market manager being really pleased and mentioning that we could rent out the entire market any Saturday (non-market day) for around £1500. Expensive, but good to know.
The GLA (Greater London Authority) people were also very happy with the crowd participation and the event in general. It was great to see members of the general public witnessing bike polo for the first time and being amazed at the skill/speed/violence involved.
Well done to Cosmic the next generation. I can't really remember the last game but friends tell me it was a good one.

@dt, that would be cool. Between 1 - 2pm? Hard to say exactly when the driver will get here, but that's probably the best time.
@flier people - the idea was for a simple flier that explains what is happening to someone who has never seen or heard of bike polo. Also where they can get watch or get a game if they are interested. ie, Newington on Weds nights, Euro qualifiers, UK champs etc.
That flier seems a bit in-jokey and obscure to me. Fine for a spoke card, not so great for informational purposes. But I'm not doing it, so I'll leave it up to the 'wisdom' of the crowd.

Did anyone else notice the guy lurking behind the pillar in that ^^ photo? He gave me quite a scare when I saw him!
