I thought Germany had benefited most from being in the Euro, as the Euro was kept low by all the poorer countries, thus making their exports relatively cheap to the rest of the world. If Germany had their own currency, it's value would have skyrocketed by now, meaning more expensive and less exports = slowing down of their economy.

Yep, agree that we aren't in a great situation, with a massive deficit. But let's say we cut £20 billion this year in order to 'reduce the deficit'. If that cut takes even 0.5% off GDP for the year, how much have we lost, net? Or conversely, if we borrow and spend £20 billion this year on infrastructure and jobs, how much extra tax revenue will we generate. Is it worth it? Can't quite get my head round it all.

This is my bike arriving in Barcelona. I had my bike bag ready, but asked at check-in if I could wheel it on as is. The girl at the counter called a baggage handler, who asked if he could ride it onto the plane. I was like 'whatever you like mate, just look after it'. Turned out alright in the end. -

No, Clowns is Stefan and Hannes from Karlsruhe. Their third, Oli, dropped out at the last minute and they asked Iain to play for them.
