dogsballs
provenrad Those dropouts do look to be at a weird angle.. and poorly fitted.
in response to asking if it was original and that i suggested it didn't and he was just out to fleece a hipster. i got this response
"I'm not trying to "fleece" anyone as you put it. Are you suggesting I'm lying? I told you not to worry because I'm confident that it has not been doctored. Come and have a look at the thing if you're interested in buying it. I'll even take more photo's if you're a genuine buyer. If it helps I've owned a fair few myself and I know what they look like. If you're not a genuine buyer then why are wasting so much time? Go out and ride your bike."
then i retracted my bids!
TBH, they look don't fit the period the lugs suggest, the stickers (?) are budget and badly applied, the powdercoat is very thick and it just all looks wrong. Even if it is a track frame proper, the ends have been retro-fitted and badly at that.
Still, you pays your money......

MrSmith
Hammo God knows?
The video of penmachno was pretty good, it looked reasonably fast...
Different from Epping forest this sunday. Still, at least i was out and getting muddy.
How did the Trance do?Chris
really liking the trance, climbs well with the propedal and seems to deal with the rough stuff well, been using all the travel but it doesn't really feel like it's bottoming out, still getting used to the speed the corners come at you compared to a hardtail. it's active under braking which is quite handy :-)
a bit sketchy in the air as i'm trying to pump it like a hardtail and it's just kicking the back up so i need to work on that.
no complaints though i know it's not a bling bike like a turner or ventana but i'm really pleased with it.
Whatever makes you smile.
I still prefer my friends older trance to my burner. There are some bargains to be had for sure on STW, i got my turner from there though i think it will probably go back soon. Not feeling it and need some cash. Oh well.
Glad you had a good weekend, i'm hoping to go to wales soon with a van full of bikes. -

dogsballs ok i'd thought we'd get a date in the diary. no fancy dress, but want to work on the theme of "SECRET LONDON" , so sights/places that are somewhat hidden and that people don't really know about. i've got a whole book at home that has heaps of place. Eg's. hanging garden in kensington; Ye Olde Mitre Tavern (londons most hidden pub)
discuss!
Dang, i'm up for this. Secret file storage bunker on TCR?

JayGee64 Are these still available?
Retro silver alloy (kona, tioga?) MTB flat Bars. In good condition for the age. 25.4mm clamp shim. £6
I'm really only after the shim to fit some flat bars in a Nitto UI-5gx stem.
No probs, still available. They are fluted on the inside for strength, not sure of the inside diameter of the shim. Outside is 25.4mm.

provenrad D'oh! I thought they were some weirdo 90s things..
I also want a triple LED - is the casing heavy enough to handle the heat? + any other bits from the aborted project?Hey,
STW massive seem to rat the conversion. I think the cutter conversion comes with a heatsink which fit's the can perfectly.
I don't have any other bit's really as i'm probably going to use it all in the future. I think the cutter kit is about £60 ish and you'd need a battery pack and charger.Chris

Expect that to go for £ssss.

provenrad What kind of brakes are these? U brakes?

And the lamp housing - is it for mr16 or mr11 halogens?Hi Provenrad,
Not brakes, rocker parts from the Giant NRS i'm trying to get shot of.
(Maybe one day it will go?!?)Lumi housing is mr11. Has a bulb in it, bought for a triple led conversion that didn't really pan out. Standard mount and good condition.
Your's for £15 or swap for something?Chris
