I panic bought this last year for my partner when she was heading to Scotland, then discovered it was too large for her. Meant to return it, forgot, etc, etc... So still brand new with tags.
Really nice quality. Would keep it for myself if it fitted me - much better than the equivalent Rab one I've got.
I think Criterion aren't doing jackets any more, but the product page is still up which gives more useful info than I can. https://www.criterion-sleepingbags.co.uk/product/activity-hydrodown-jacket/
And this is a review of the cheaper non-hydrophobic version (so ignore the parts related to water resistance):
https://outdoorsmagic.com/article/criterion-activity-ultralight-jacket-review/£120 collected from Brixton Hill? Or I can post (but not until I get over covid).
I've added their size chart to avoid size related disappointment. I'm a little confused by their sizing - my partner's inbetween XS and S usually, so I assume this jacket is sized for men. It was much too big for her. I optimistically tried it on and it was only a bit too small for me. I'm normally a medium or large. You're welcome to come and try it on here.
Let me know if you have any questions. -

Sorry to hijack this thread, but seeing as it seems to be attracting people who know about this sort of thing... we have inexplicably ended up with an unopened bottle of 'Lady Gaga Dom Perignon 2010' (I have nothing against Lady Gaga or expensive Champagne, but am not hugely excited by either). Anyone know the best option for selling this? Anything else I'd just stick on ebay, but obviously not an option here.
(secretly hoping some Lady Gaga/Champagne fan will stumble across this and PM me with a generous offer) -

Is there any reason I shouldn't use something like these JST-sh connectors for joining dynamo wires? I have dynamo lights on several bikes and intermittently need to switch them round or move rear lights to different places on bikes. I'm too cheap to go for those nice magnetic connectors and have previously used banana plugs, but I'm terrible at soldering and the idea of something prewired I can just splice in and heatshrink is appealing.

Great photos.
Thanks - I took far too many, despite the damp which I'm surprised hasn't killed my camera. No longer trust the waterproofing on most of my bags - had to make heavy use of sandwich bags which then meant loads of condensation, etc.

Is that the second bit where the last photo directly above is? That bit was actually really nice, just the ruts on the track kept catching my pedals. 'A bit pointless' was probably overly harsh - it's still better than 99% of my offroad rides in Kent. It was more misjuding timing as had planned to camp on Rannoch Moor but hadn't realised quite how much of a detour that whole stretch was - I didn't look at the route properly beforehand so had just assumed it went along the road south of Loch Rannoch at that point (which I remember being a really nice road on a previous trip).

Did Badger Divide over 4ish days last weekend - It's a great route - would highly recommend it.
Got a train to Glasgow on the Thursday afternoon, stayed at a friend's place, then started Friday. I changed my (seated) sleeper train back from Inverness to the Tuesday night so had an early finish on Monday, then added in a detour to Glen Affric on the Tuesday - did part of this on the Affric-Kintail way, which looks like it would be a great route. But my back brake pads wore out at this stage and having already used my spare pair on the front I decided road was probably safer with only one working brake.
Almost completely midge free but that might be on account of the rain, which was pretty intense. Going over the Corrieyairack Pass in heavy rain (but with a strong tailwind) was an experience. Definitely better going North over Corrieyairack - imagine the descent would have been no fun the other way.
I took a gravel bike, my friend did it on an mtb. If I did it again I'd probably go mtb just because while I was able to go quite a bit faster on the gravelly/road bits, it would have been a lot more fun to have been able to bomb down some of the rougher offroad descents. Plus wasn't really in a hurry.
Camped the first couple of nights, stayed in the bothy just North of Corrieyairack on the third night, got a hostel in Drumnadrochit for the last night just because I wanted a shower and to try and dry stuff out.
At a relaxed pace it all felt pretty easy - hardest part of the trip was probably after doing a supermarket sweep in Killin and both massively overeating, which made the next hour of so of cycling quite uncomfortable. Would definitely take at least two sets of spare brake pads next time. Plus afterwards I discovered I'd done the whole thing with a snapped rear axle, but fortunately the thru-axle had held it altogether and because I'd not removed the back wheel I hadn't noticed. Which is just as well as imagine I'd have got quite stressed about it.Highlights were definitely Corrieyairack and the stretch after Corrour station. But basically it was all pretty great almost from the edge of Glasgow onwards. I thought the offroad stretch round the back of Loch Rannoch was a bit pointless - did get a nice camping spot out of it, but other than that was mostly deep rutted tracks that meant constant pedal strike + a lot of very heavily logged forests. Would have been nicer just to camp down by Loch Rannoch I think.

Coincidentally just on the train to Scotland with it... So let's hope it holds. I added an emergency bit of elastic and poured some superglue into the join between frame and mount. It'll probably be fine... Plus am not really going to be riding at night on this trip so it's not end of the world if it fails.
Unless it causes front wheel to lock up on a steep downhill of course... Will keep an eye on it.
All my other bikes are steel but for various reasons the plastic one is by far the best one for this trip.

Just wanted to check if anyone has re-assembled a Bitex hub recently and knows how many spacers/washers should be behind the freehub?
I've re-assambled it recently to change bearings and it now seems to be out by 1 or 2mm - the spokes are slightly touching back of cassette and my disc rotor is out of alignment. I'm guessing I might have lost a washer/ spacer - It's currently got one thin washer but I'm guessing I might have lost a slightly thicker one? Can't find any decent diagrams online that show what should be there. -
Anyone got any suggestions of nice wild camping (or even non-wild if it's not a motorhome filled site) within an hour or two's ride from Inverness? Am doing the Badger Divide (heading North) at the end of the week and have just added an extra day on at the end as figured if I'm going all the way up there/suffering seated sleeper train on way back, I might as well make the most of it. Thinking maybe somewhere around Black Isle - would quite like to see dolphins. Mostly want to take it easy so prioritising a nice spot I can relax in for most of the day, rather than doing another big ride.

I wish wiggle would do some stupidly cheap fancy stems or seatposts instead, have all the bars I need.
I also wish they'd add 'sort by discount' back in, which would be particularly useful these days.
