I know lots of you feel similarly to me about the rest of the forum and view the bike polo category as a bit of a haven. But this section is getting a bit much for me if I'm honest.
I've just caught up on this thread (trying to find a response from moving target ahem) and after reading it I'm a bit put off if I'm honest.
Can I request that 'rape', 'not rape because your skirt was already around your ankles', 'cunt', and the rest of it be reduced in how often it is used in our language and on this little piece of the forum?
Obviously, it's not my place to tell people how to speak but as a woman who loves you guys loads I can only imagine what other women who are thinking about coming out for polo must think of us if I'm put off. It's just gotten a bit out of hand and you guys are smart enough to come up with better chides then this. I reckon you guys can do without so much of this language.
We also have so many women coming out for polo let's be as welcoming as possible. I know you guys wouldn't mind a few more ladies around...

I was getting on my bike and I was stuck between two cars in parking spots. I was slowly trying to edge my way out into traffic. Finally this car coming my direction slows down. Success! I start to make my way out of the parking spot but the fucking dickhead driver just keeps coming at me. He clearly sees me, knows he's going to hit me but doesn't even care. I have two choices, I can stop or try to get far out ahead of him enough to keep going and try not to get hit. I try to bust a move out of the spot but no luck. The guy runs right into me, knocks me off my bike and then has the balls (or lack thereof) to give me a bollocking about pulling out in front of him!!!!?!!? Fucking dickhead actually hit me on purpose and then yelled at me!!!
It's drivers like him that make me hate vehiclists!!!

This morning my boss made me move his fucking stupid £££ car out of a parking spot 'cause he was about to get a ticket. I told him I really wasn't comfortable doing it but as his PA it was part of my job description. He's a bit of a dick so he pretty told me where to stick my 'comfort'. Anyway, I go downstairs get into the car and get ready to pull out. There's a bit of traffic but lucky for me the bike behind me decided to slow down and let me out. I take a deep breath, pull out of the spot, and then bam! the cyclist just runs right into me. I was in such shock that this idiot would just run right into me on purpose. Obviously he had seen me, and he had even slowed down to let me out. So on top of everything this cycle-arsehole has the nerve to yell a bunch of bollocks at me!!!! WTF!??!!? He runs into me and then yells at me!?
Anyway, I go in and tell my boss what happened and got a written warning for not doing my job properly. F*cking dick cyclist. Can't wait for the end of this day.

Fair point, but I've been on the 'who's online' link plenty of times and seen that there's always a guest or a crawler looking at the Victoria Pendelton thread - which just means any old bugger's typed her name into Google and been directed here.

I'm not going to get a bee in my bonnet about all this though - I'm not one for internet crusades, as you always end up looking like a twat, if I haven't already. Like your mum always used to say though, 'I'm not upset, just disappointed...'
