TNRC 2nd Annual Awards Ceremony 9th Nov 2010 @ Charlie Wrights
http://www.charliewrights.com/
After a long and rewarding season what better way to celebrate than a get together at a great location for booze, food and some live music.
This will be a ruffle shirt evening for the men, girls come as you like. All wags are invited and encouraged to come along and enjoy the fact that their chosen love is involved in one of the greatest clubs ever. Make no mistake the TNRC is a wonderful thing and it only exists because you come out and ride the lanes in all weathers. Now is the time to share a beer together.
The pub is laid back and unpretentious. Jonny and I have been going for years. If you want a cheap Thai meal the restaurant is there (recommended) or sit back and talk shit in the pub bit. minimum one ride entry requirementthere will of course be prizes for these three categories
- best rider 2010
- best climber 2010
- most improved rider 2010
just cut and paste that with your nominations and pm it to me. one vote each. no self promotion. you can vote even if you only rode once.

Looking at doing a trip to Europe with my bike with travel on both plane and train so need something that is strong (baggage handlers aren't always known for their finesse) as well as something that can take up less room and can be used cycling away from a station. I've used a borrowed Cinelli bike bag (see photo below) in the past for rail travel but wondered if anyone has ever tried lining it with a card board box (or something similar) for use in air travel.

Any advice would be gratefully received

I've got these, far from totally waterproof although i guess the idea is with breathable fabric for water to work its way out
My MTB Sidi's are great in the summer but are as waterproof as a sieve.
I rang Half-Pipe and they have some lake's in my size, I'm going to try to get to see them tomorrow. I shall report back if I make it.
The shoes below are £135:

Interested in what people think of this stuff...looks nice but is verging on making Rapha look affordable at times
