Strida (or strida knock-off, not sure - I think it's a Strida as the tyres are decent etc ) folding bike - in good working order; paint a little bashed in places, one of the handlebar little press buttons has gone awol but it's all working perfectly. Folding bars, folding pedals, cable disc brakes, rear rack, Schwalbe tyres and a bell...

Just want rid so £95 collected from EC2A during working hours...

Ok - so more than 20 pics in a thread is a no-no so this is part two of clear out. As with part one:
All prices below are collected from EC2A during working hours - depending on item I'm quite happy to post, will just need to add appropriate amount to cover Royal Mail postage.
Dibs is fine, just follow it / preface with PM. I'm around intermittently the rest of the day between getting a roast dinner on the go...
Cheers

Right - had to pack in the commuting for one reason and another and having all this kit hanging around just depresses me so it's big clear-out time.

Had to split this into two threads as tried to be helpful and include pics so bumped into limit.

should be a 2.5 enclosure - look on youtube for videos of how to get the case open - if it's anything like my slightly newer macbook pro you'll need torx / star keys (0.8 and 0.9mm from memory) as well as a small phillips screwdriver. It's simple enough to do and then the drive, when plugged into an enclosure will / should mount easily enough onto another mac (providing it's not been knackered when it was dropped). My USB enclosure cost about £9 from ebuyer.
OSX has the ability to import users from external disks / other macs in which case it'd just be a simple transfer across (Migration Assistant I think it's called, should come as standard.

Woffle, your image isn't showing on my computer. Those http://s3.amazonaws.com/twitpic/ hosted images seem to be very problematic.
Should be sorted now? Cheers

Stanley - now at just over 5 months:

He's due his first haircut at the end of the month (the kids want him to stay 'messy' but it's not fair given the state he gets in jumping round the countryside).
Talking of kids - my youngest (4 yrs) had my wife in stitches : Martha came screaming into the living room: "QUICK QUICK CALL THE VET, STANLEY'S WINKY IS ALL RED AND SORE!! HE NEEDS THE VET! IT"S ALL RED! IT"S A H'AMBURGENCY". Bless
(Stanley has just started the teenage boy phase, dry-humping soft-toys / the neighbours (male) labrador etc etc) - ....

when you are racing in a sailing boat there is a starting sequence with flags an horn/gun these vary from event to event but the last gun is normally one minute from the start. its an imaginary line and what you don't want is to be across that line at the start gun (you have to sail around the bouy at the end and recross the line), you want to be crossing that line at speed. so the last minute while the helmsman steers and the rest of the crew are trimming sails/acting as ballast some one is staring at the watch counting down shouting out warnings.
this would be the reason for your countdown i'd wager.
its a beautiful watch.
I get the reasoning behind the 5 minute timings - click the pusher and the red dots countdown the minutes. There is a 2nd generation with blue then red dots that counts down 10 minutes, produced with a Lemania movement, this is a Felsa 400n I think. Some are also marked 'Heuer' as they sold through their dealers initially (or something like that).
I just don't wholly get why the minutes are marked down in reverse around the outside bezel - maybe so you can easily countdown the number of seconds remaining rather than passed? Just something else unusual about it - now on a brown leather strap too which looks grand IMO:

Should have said - the shop I bought it from (fully built up) is building me a complete new wheel, rims, royce hub, the works (as you'd expect). Apparently it's a first, they've never seen it happen before - hopefully I'll get an explanation of sorts when they've done all their investigations and x-rays etc. I presume slight wobble was the first indication of failure and then the tension caused it to pull itself apart? Whatever it is it's a manufacturing defect of some description.
We'll see...
Just fecking lucky I wasn't riding the bike when it went otherwise there'd have been a whole lot more fail, probably involving my face + traffic + tarmac.
