Two strings walk into a bar. The first tries to order something. "I don't serve strings in this bar," the bartender says roughly and throws him out.
The second ruffs himself up, ties his ends together, walks in, and orders. "Hey, didn't you hear what I told your buddy?" the bartender says.
"Yeah," the string says.
"Aren't you a string?" the bartender says.
"I'm a frayed knot," the string replies.

last few months been toying with the idea of a new project car, with my tax return freshly in my account i did some searching. had a chat with a mate with a car i wanted who recently ran 10.7 and see if he was willing to split the package and he said yes.
picked this up as a roller, no engine/gearbox, for a very good price.. it is a 1984 VK commodore and is the poverty pack with no electrics and with engine will be 1200kgs tops. was resprayed last year, inc cleaning up the bay, big cowl in hood and mini-tubbed rear end (can fit up to 275 radial). beefed up diff with 21 spline axles and mini-spool. interior is bone stock and clean. comes with exhaust, rad and few other bits and pieces. eventually it will be getting a very angry e85 carb Ls-based engine, that will spin to 7500-8000rpm, tossing up stock stroke 346 or splashing out on iron block to go to 408. combine this with a 900hp rated th400 3 speed, aim is low 10s quarter, maybe 9's @ 135mph. want to do as much as the engine work as possible, should be done in 6mths (pending finance, well sale of my current daily driver and dropping to a small daily run-about)
