happen to have a bag for the job looking for a new home ;p
not sure if you want a backpack or a messenger style but this fits a 17" laptop fine. padded outside, built-in laptop sleeve and divider. some would say too much padding tho (padding = bulk). padded shoulder strap with stabiliser 'third leg' strap

Bike in box. Just trying to figure out how to get it down the stairs and into the tube. I hope the weather holds. Andy, you are such a pessimist!
you should be on your way by now!
good luck, all! jealous. looks like this year's weather is a lot better than last year's.
no excuse for not getting up all the climbs. :)

sorted now. i think.
dont mind if i get a neg feedback if my fck up really warrants it. dunno, i see neg feedback in a diff degree. e.g. not paying, not posting, false description, etc.
now the buyer denied my request to cancel the transaction (so that ebay can refund me the fees) which i thought was a bit petty. what have they got to gain by denying the request? transaction never happened they didnt get the item but they got their money back. pricks. they're now saying that 'i should be doing everything in my power to get the jersey back as i am in a legally binding contract' and even suggested to get the buyer in the states to send it direct to them. good luck to that.
anyway, been in contact with ebay. got my fees refunded and have given me the ok to ignore any other msgs from them as the case is now considered to be closed.

im on the other side of this situation^^^ sort of.
sold two jerseys over the weekend. but stupidly fckd up with bid winners and ended up sending the wrong jersey to the wrong person. now both jerseys are on their way to the states.
now the buyer that missed out is being a bit of a pain. ive already sent them a message and my apologies and have given them a refund. but they are demanding that i get the jersey back somehow and pass it over to them. like i said it's on its way to the states and doubt that ill get it back due to the costs of postage. hardly worth it for all parties.
so it's either they get the jersey back or a neg feedback. honest fck up on my part but do i deserve a neg feedback for that? dont give a sht really more of an annoyance. it's them being a buy-and-sell business that annoys me. all this for a £10 jersey.

got my entry, accommodation and flights sorted but unfortunately body is not even a quarter of the way there. only done three long rides so far this year (mildly hilly 300kms). last one wouldve been about 6wks ago.
just had a baby so im sleep deprived, cant go out and dont even have time for an hr turbo session. hope in the horizon tho. ill be allowed to ride starting this weekend (starting off with a couple of hrs) and from early april i can ride as much as i like as wife+kids will be away for a few mths. ill have to pack my training in less than three months! by my quick (optimistic) estimate, i can do almost 3000kms during that time.
have a history of last minute training...busted collar bone in jan '08 meant i lost some riding time for london2paris. had almost zero mileage before taking on last year's tour of flanders (140kms). and only got to properly train for 3mths for quebrantahuesos. but marmotte's a bit harder than any of those.
so, is it all too late? will i die even before i make it to the foot of alp d'huez?

Hmmmm, this is something I've been considering for a long while now.
do it! cost us a bit over £300 with sportingtours last yr. not too bad as it includes bus to ghent, 3nite accommodation and bus ride following the pros the following day.
What bikes do you lot ride this on? Me and some friends thinking of doing the 150km ...
rode my regular carbon road bike. the bike held up ok, bottles stayed in place and wheels survived. even an old set of gp4000s got me through without a puncture or any major slip.

i got told off this morning by bearded dude, glasses on, thick towel(?) under his helmet riding a black condor pista with rapha colours for sitting on his wheel along birdcage walk. i mouthed back by saying "i know what im doing blah blah blah...i have my hand on my brakes at all times blah blah blah...im on the road all the time, mate blah blah blah". my apologies. shouldnt have snapped like that.
i confess, i draught all the time but i do it on select sections of roads and only when conditions are right. birdcage walk happened to be one of them. it's an uninterrupted run through apart from the ambiguous ped crossings where some go through and some give way...eitherway, i was looking if there are peds ahead. and this morning, i was going to ride on someone's wheel, like it or not. i was running late and felt weak and hungry. besides, you passed me slowly and were riding at my pace. not quite sure what to do in those situations...i can overtake, but like i said, you were riding at my pace. and no, im not going to drop back just because it makes you uncomfortable.
dont blame you for assuming that im just another nodder commuter tho. im not a whitey, ride a mtb, dont have fixie or roadie gear on and have a childseat at the back. i seriously think these are the reasons why every cyclist think they should get in front of me whilst i sit and wait at every fckn light.
still...i couldve been more civil in my response

no feedstops in previous years, sam, dunno about this year.
