If I were you I might have used the same type of wood, and ran the grain in the same direction as the body, and not used CA glue. At least it's on the back!

We were taught to make guides with straight edges so you can't go wrong. But it doesn't make the task any less tedious. You can hand plane the bulk off if you're good enough.

Losing the finish and adding an oil finish may well change the sound. Not better, not worse, but I'd expect some sort of change.

I don't have the power adapter anymore (circular thing with four pins) so I need to borrow one of those, or another USB<>IDE hard disk adapter thingy of some sort.

Does anyone have something that'll fit the bill?

I have an HT-1 and it's great. Nice sound at low volumes and it fits on a bookcase. Cost me around £100 secondhand.

Standard bridge and neck. I asked on a guitar forum and apparently this is standard for early 2000s Teles. Weird, eh? I suppose they routed foe all eventualities and saved money on having different patterns for different models.

For sure, and I've had a Custom. Sunburst too. Just concerned that this may be a Mexican body. No real issue with that other than I bought and paid for a US Tele.

That is routing for a middle single coil, although my bad pictures don't show it very well. So what's the model you mentioned?

Hi all. I bought this a couple of years ago as a US Fender Tele. Took the pickguard off for the first time today for a good clean and was surprised to find it’s routed for a humbucker. Does anyone know what this body is?
