I installed CM7 on my Nexus One... Android 2.3.3 goodness.
Whilst I don't have an NFC reader built-in, my colleague is jealous that my software has better support for it than his Nexus S has.
Be interested to know how you get on...I'm running redux 1.1.2 at the moment, which seems pretty clean and quick...

That's so shit.....hope it turns up. I feel your pain!

Also if you dont mind, how did they, or how do you think they got through your locks? I use a kryptonite D so slightly concerned by this... thanks
No joy sadly. Had a good look round Brick Lane on Sunday morning....
No idea how they got through the locks....couldnt see any evidence of angle grinder.
Being a bus route, I thought theyd have a job getting away with it, but I guess it just takes a white van and a high-vis and you can get away with anything! -

It's pretty recognisable (if it hasn't already been stripped down):Metallic maroon Condor custom 631 fixed frame - lugged with ahead headset, straight steel forks
CXP33 rims on Phil Wood hubs, Conti GP4000S tyres
Nitto bullhorn bars with black fizik tape
Deda Newton stem
Dura-ace front brake with goldfinger lever.
Rolls saddle on Condor carbon post
Chris King headset - barberspole (alternating silver and black) headset spacers.
New Izumi gold chainAll pretty nice and pretty much my perfect bike!
Picture below with different bars and saddle:

Please keep your eyes open...I'll be down at Brick Lane on Sunday morning!

Cheers. Sounds rude. Know how to do it and will it mean a factory reset?
just a bit oo-er-missus!
It used to be quite an involved process, but looks a lot easier now. i've heard a lot of good things about one click root http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=803682.
yes, it probably will involve a factory reset im afraid.....

Is there a way to delete pre-installed apps like amazon mp3 and voice search? I never use them and they keep opening up. I can't find the default setting to off. Have app killer, but they don't stay shut for long.
I think you need to be rooted - then you can use something like Titanium backup to remove system apps.

Anyone having trouble with Swype?
Just got a message saying my trial has expired and i need to upgrade.
Tried redownloading but no use...
...can't type! :(I just exactly the same issue...uninstalled swype and the installer, redownloaded from https://beta.swype.com/android/get , reregistered during the install and all is ok.....great relief!

Anyone looking for a Gingerbread ROM for the Desire....Redux is excellent...fast, clean and good battery life. I tried Oxygen and Gingervillian...both OK, but not as good as Redux imho...
-
re stoves...I've used a Primus Omnifuel for years on different fuels and its been great.
re blog -i used wordpress for my tour blog last year and found it really good...

This was mine last summer - heavy, but much more stable than it looks, even on fast downhills....

Oh, and the clickstand was brilliant!

Bikefix in Lambs Conduit St did mine

So many bikes getting stolen...it's so shit.
Mine went a few weeks ago ( https://www.lfgss.com/post2088871-5953.html ) and so sign of it since.....BUT at least my insurance company are paying up the full cost of replacement (less £100 excess) - which I was worried about as it was a custom frame with expensive components......big up to M+S home insurance!
