I'm selling a Campag Centaur BB, 111mm spindle, English threads.
It's covered less than 200 miles and is in excellent condition.
I'm looking for £20.
Collect Archway N19, unless the new bike is finished then I'll meet somewhere central.
It's the black one, like this: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/p/Cycle/7/Campagnolo_Centaur_Tapered_Bottom_Bracket/5360022293/

i'm running durace on a grand compe - 42mm with my calipers. Didn't want to go more than 1mm diff at the front. Think I'll try the Centaur, see how it goes.
Have a butcher's here: http://www.sheldonbrown.com/gloss_ca-m.html
The 1/8 DA cog offers a slightly wider chainline than the EAI. You should be fine.

I've recently started using the Centaur with the 75 because the Mickey really is mince.
It's giving a 43.5mm chainline.
A lot depends on your sprocket. My EAI has sits at least a mm further out than my CONdor CNC (which I was using with the Mickey 107).
And bear in mind that most hub manufacturers chainline spec is nominal at best...

I refuse to use CampagNOlo, because they think 80kg is a reasonable weight limit for their warranty.
As a fat cunt, I was particularly distressed to find the Centaur BB is not shit, and has so far not collapsed under my obscene bulk.
That said, I still refuse to purchase CampagNOlo branded goods.
Which is odd, because I refused to buy Japanese cars (when I owned a motor) and happily invested in Alfa Romeo products. Their cars readily accommodated the larger gentleman and occasionally started.

What about this? Is that a good idea?
An excentric bottom bracket for standard frames! Fix to standard frames and brings the possibility to adjust the chain tension (for gear hubs and single speed). So you don't need a chain tensioner, adjustable drop outs or tandem bottom bracket any more. The Excentriker is easy to install and brings you a smooth optic on your bike!
Cruz, i thought you'd fucked off in a sulk.
Again.

I know that it wasn't intended as such, but the suicide zone version was particularly distasteful to me, as I know that none of the cyclists who have been killed by left-turning lorries intentionally put themselves in harm's way.
Sorry to oppose your viewpoint, BB, because I'm usually 100% behind your perspective and the actions that you take.
However, whilst the cyclists who were killed did not intentionally put themselves in harms way, their ignorance of their situation did.
I agree entirely that drivers of HGVs owe a duty of care to other road users, but at the end of the day we've all got to take care of ourselves and not rely on anyone else.
Whatever penalties are threatened upon drivers of HGVs, buses, cabs etc, it won't matter to these people as much as it will to us. When the shit hits the fan (and this will be the first moment at which this issue actually hits home for 99% of drivers), only then will those drivers actually give this situation any thought.
Achieving a sea change in driver attitudes must be seen as a long-term goal.
Educating individual cyclists to ensure their own safety must surely be a valid short-term goal.

From HolyMoly.
Who could that mole have been.....
Sour Cream
A mole spotted a certain British guitar legend in a bicycle shop recently (Condor on Grey's Inn Road, if you insist) and described him as resembling 'a rather haughty tanned scrotum'.
The shop assistant was fawning over his famous client so much that he was beginning to resemble Gollum meeting the Queen, and his gasps of delight when a bike was finally sold to the great man were a joy to behold.
Eventually, the cap-doffing shop boy began to take the guitarist's details, inevitably requiring various bits of information.
"And sir's e-mail address?"
The reply was just a touch surprising for our lurking mole.
"Yes," said the man once described as 'God' by some fucking idiot with a spray can and an expanse of whitewashed wall, "My e-mail address is ."
Without raising an eyebrow or missing a beat, the toadying continued: "And can I ask, is sir spelling that with a 'K' or an 'N'"?/ has no one mentioned eric clapton
he's obsessed with them.
and at least a half decent celebrity.
