Thanks to the organisers and for the prizes that were donated :D im wearing my nice condor lycra shorts feeling snug as a bug, I think there was a lot of roller cherry popping that night, well done to everyone that had a go twas good fun!

easy now...respec to those that showed up last night. I think if we can keep the people at that playground on side and don't pisss them off with, um slamming into their portakabin at high speed we should be able to make it a regular weekly thing. I had so much fun, really really funny, good mallet knicking skills jonny ;) and great to go for a beer after too. Great serendipity getting booted out of that carpark.

how did you get on with the drilling and lining the bolts up with the pole? did you bolt through the pole as well?

yeh i bolted through the pole. I made one with a piece of wooden dowling in the middle to see what it be like as a shock absorber... imagined myself as a tennis racquet engineer for a moment.

Ok i got 3 mallets built, had to use a different piping that i've seen before, but it shouldnt shatter, its just smaller than gas piping. Flatlander if you've got an old innertube hanging about can you bring so we can wrap your handle, i ran out.
So thats 3 mallets, actually i think stelle has one, 2 more???
