Sammy Dodger Continuing the theme of red-rides; time to break cover with bike number two...
The frame is too small, its missing a brake, I built the wheels myself (just waiting for a catastrophic failure) and the rest is assembled from the cheapest stuff I could lay my itchy ebay trigger fingers on....none the less, happy days!

thats really lovely, but come on you gaylord prop it on your pillow or its just not dirty enough for the red lovers.

flickwg
stelle
dogsballs

I was hustled off. Not my fault! although admitedly I guess I wasn't being particularly cautious.
i can vouch for stelle this was not her fault
so how are the injuries stelle?
up yours seb. your the last person to qoute when apportioning blame. "ooooh dave, you done me knee in, oooh dave you went for me, oooh dave you were on the polo court when i fell off, therefore dave, its all your fault" I think you'll find that girl can look after herself and many a chap has come off worse when tangling with her. Its all about commitment, she had it, i had it, neither of us moaned and you...my fine friend don't track back and defend, so who the fuck else is gonna hussle her her off the ball? ... ;)

speak to jan, in the morning, (he might have had a drink by the afternoon) explain it calmly. I had a headset done by them, they sold me a brand new one and chewed the edges of it by using the wrong size wrench. I had brought stelle there and another friend and told him, i recommended him to them and they did this kind of shit work, his answer was. "what would you like, you must have a price in mind." I said i didnt but it wasnt good enough, eventually i said i wanted a tenner off the next service i go there. He said no problem. When i broke a couple of spokes and took my wheel there, jan wasnt in i regaled my story to the girl, who replied "well i don't see why you'd lie" and discounted me the 10. They don't do the best of jobs, but they are a young shop and i pointed out to them they need to care for their customers, he agreed hence the 10r. It was a dumb thing to do but Jan is decent and i reckon will sort you out, if your reasonable about your argument. Anyway, i havent been back since my discount cause i can fuck my bike up all by myself and for free.

i find, that you stare where you 'going' to and don't look them in the eye at all, it seems to work on hungerford bridge with the tourists, who are all snapping the london eye or when i ...ahem...mount the pavement occasionally. They can tell from your eyes where you intend to be. Looking people in the eye just confuses them and they have no doubt where you intend to be if you look at the line your taking. Same thing happens when your walking, if you look someone in the eye, you both gravitate towards each other, but if you look to your intended direction you tend not to do the funky chicken. Well it works for me, so anyway tune in next week to the post that reads "the guy thought i was staring where he thought i wanted HIM to go."
ihatelaw j And the increased awareness you have has saved my ass many, many times. you watch cars' front wheels in traffic to see if they're going to turn without indicating - saved me many times - and you just don't learn to do that if you have the option of braking.
Yes and if those fucking idiots hadn't put life boats on the Titanic then the captain would have had increased 'iceberg awareness' and we'd be saluting the amazing long life of one of the finest cruise liners to sail the seven seas.
