Don't split the league! surely we can think of better ways to get the league done in a shorter time frame.
I love the 2 x 10 min idea, plus the 'league nights'. Also worth thinking about releasing a few fixtures at a time instead of being restricted to playing just one certain team that week/fortnight.
^these are the ways to get games done rather than 2 divisions preventing some teams playing others.

i don't care if it's made up of players from other teams who want to double there chances of winning/get to play more games....
yeah, i think its best a throw in team should fill the spot rather than a team drop out. probably best that the team is made up from throw-in teams already rather than a team activiely trying to get a place in the worlds though...

I put our team down!! I haven't played as a team this year apart from tournaments/league and think we should have team nights occasionally.
I like that you've been open about it so that teams like mine can be invited. However, when I politely mentioned/requested that it should be separate from throw-in nights, we get accused of bitching and moaning.

BAD : 2.0 (Man United - play in red and win a lot)
Cosmic : 4.0 (Arsenal - allowing Emmet to play with them demonstrates dedication to youth policy)
Malice : 5.0 ( Chelsea - bunch of foreigners in an English league)
Rotten Apples : 5.0 (Liverpool - The Spaniard is the key...)
La Schmoove : 7.0 ( Man City - Robinho went there?!?)Ha, ha, ha, ha and ha! :D

A friendly plod ambled down past the court and is going to email the council regarding the lights, BAD is his favourite team.
Yep. The same policeman who was cheering on BAD when they played Malice came down just as it was getting dark. He asked why the council don't put the lights on for us! I explained that they had possibly been tampered with and that we would very much like them back.
I understand the locals have recently complained to the council about us so I was keen to explain to him that we regularly play on a Wednesday eve and occasionally on a Thursday or the weekend. I mentioned that we didn't like to overuse the courts and we also play in other boroughs, but the majority of people there tonight were from Southwark/Lambeth borough.
Anyway, he's promised to email the council for us to get the lights back and took my email so they could contact me. He has just emailed me to say he'll call them in the morning and that he would also be down tomorrow evening to cheer on South London in their league match.
Go on S.L.A.P!! :)

Chelsea footballers haven't been there the last two wednesdays, but it has been very busy. It will probably be hard securing one court, I doubt very much we'll get a second for any league action. Not sure about the lights.
