scott not scot i love the fact that they have compression straps on a bag that's only 5" wide....i'm not saying this cos i make bags...but i'd save your money...you're not gonna get much in either size of those cos they're so narrow....i think you can get ortlieb bags really cheaply?....they'd be a better option...IMO
yeah that bag will sit all wrong on your back,
i was so close to getting an ortlieb mess backpack, im very glad i didnt, they look good and all but my 'heavy flow' is so good

leeww
SMEEAR that aint a wallet, i have a birth defect
Don't be ashamed of your defect, get it out, oil it up and join your local circus.
Back to your original post, my girlfriend is cool, she can pretty much alter anything for me, I buy a shit pair of jeans or put on 30lbs of beer based man fat and she will get her (1970's) sewing machine out and make anything fit my hideously distended and grotesquely misshaped body.
Many pairs of trousers have been rescued this way, although I have not investigated the whole crotch patch scene as yet, is there a website ?
a website huummmm maybe i should start one...
maybe?....

i often take in charity shop trousers so i can have lovely figure hugging lovelyness
i found an old pair that i hadnt worn in ages, taken in, skinny (just right) i got to wondering why i dont wear them more often?
i soon found out when i tried to ride in them, so tight, crotchy tight tight, not nice,
ride able but not nice.my mind has been on the subject of technical garments recently
sooo, i fixed my problem with stretchy denim, Grey stretchy denim
works well and looks.... funky?anyone else done similar?

SMEEAR
kilgore_trout smeear - how much for a full on (not too detailed) custom cap?
kinda depends what youve got in mind?
it really depends on what materials your after, basically im not in a position to spend half a week scouting out one type/colour material for one cap, (unless its mega expencive :) ) but having said that there is a lot i have available, send me a mail with what your after and we can see!!

kowalski How much for yer actual custom action, Mr Smeear?
I'm thinking white, some stylish (yet simple) detailing.
Size BiggerThanOneSizeFitsAll. Which seems to be a recurring theme here.
Maybe us fakengers just have HUGE brains. Mines so big it's pushed me hair out...
it kinda rare that they wont fit, same as most cycling caps really
but yeh some people do have massive brains -

edmundane I WANT THAT VERY FIRST ONE ON YOUR SITE!!!
sorry for shouting.... yes, the black and turquoise one... bagsy!
glad people a liking them, makes me warm inside
no bagsys if you shoot me a mail you can have it,
im doing a load for Brick Lane Bikes next, not sure if i want them to put a massive mark-up on them

Hovis Brown
SMEEAR
Hovis Brown very nice looking caps. not sure how they will look on my monstrous head though. i'm convinced it has its own gravitational pull.
well maybe next time i see you about i can try one on your head, im eager to know just how big peoples heads can get lol :)
i just realised that the things floating around my head were flies. but my head is pretty big. 63cm?
biggest yet....do we have a world record?
scott not scot more niceness for ya heeds!!!....i reckon you' must be getting about as much sleep as me....:)
yeah the only reason there isnt more on the blog is cause i just ran out of the cotton hatband stuff (thats the tec name)

MrSmith what about those flat caps in the true working class tradition?
flat caps aint far off ive been fiddling about with some patterns and will be sewing some up soon
kilgore_trout really nice work. personally i'm torn over the small-brim style. how 'custom' can one get in these?
i you have a look through the gallery page you should see some caps with larger peaks, not a problem to go a bit larger, most people really like to small tough so that what i make

i have a problem
its called 'must learn to fix and make everything in the world'
its annoying in some ways, mostly just exciting,
and this thread seems to be going in circles
