I have had a think and am now keen to try out my new polo tyres in the wet.
rear - Continental top contact 1.9 - I've used this in 700 and it absolutely thrives.
front - schwalbe crazy bob 2.35. wall to wall grip and weighs a lot more than the cheapo I was using till now. I will probably switch to a lighter front wheel soon if i keep this. -

Thanks man, I'm chuffed. Back OT:
add thisBrake Pads:
Fibrax cartridge V blocks are a good performance/cost/durability tradeoff. (Chainreaction: 7 quid for holders + 2 pairs of pads.)
Aztec refills seem fine - Using them at the moment and will see how long they last.rik - only saturdays for now. hoping to improve upon that soon.

I think (I have read on the internet) that stronglight 80/100 are JIS taper. and need quite a long spindle.
I was looking at them to use a ridiculously long titanium BB that I have sitting around.
My hunch is to go for 118mm.
I'm surprised spa cycles didn't know for sure - they are the stringlight kings.
nice.
I'm in w12.
Leaving here at around 5:30 to do the tweed recce ride.
I am happy to ghostride it into town and meet you this evening 6pm or 9ish.
PMing.
