I used to wear body-con stretch-cotton dresses when riding, but they didn't flatter my ass/arse.
I stick to metallic fabrics and loafers now.. (btw, the hat suggestion was serious!) -

Could you do a project on exciting fixie-riders wearing custom-made hats? there is a thread on hats from SMEEAR (sp?)
I prefer bus to the tube round Nodnol - and cycle if at all possible.. I only take pubic transport if I'm planning on getting fubar. (that lesson cost one fractured patella). No car, no license, (but I can drive as my dad was a driving instructor - which put me off.) -

If you are using your 28hole rim then I think lacing should be 3x or 4x
As for cheap hubs - I suspect theres little choice for 28H as they tend to be for racing? I may be wrong, but on-one, SJS etc dont have any 28h..

I ride a road-bike conversion with absolutely no shame! It's not perfect due to a long stem and slightly small frame, but i like it.
When someone with proper fork-ends (edited) overtakes me I just swallow my pride and crash the fcuk into them. ;-) -

arrospok serring, campy cranks thread-bumping, and even innocent offers of spare parts can all be seen as annoying money-making action. There is a very fuzzy line between annoying pimping and 'awareness-raising', and I think this post-count idea is potentially a good way to draw that line.
re: L_is_Rite - With hindsight I would have linked to the guys advert in ebuy finds thread. But was I wrong to suggest this forum would be a good way to contact potential purchasers? There is a classifieds category after all. My intention was to help people on here to find stuff - not necessarily to help the guy sell it all. -
