This is a nice mix from the beeb archives: Radio 1's Classic Essential Mix: High Contrast
Anyone else who is into the above, might like the London Elektricity Essential Mix that was about at the end of 2008. Google it and you'll find it no problem. Was really good :)

Sold
[strike]I bought this on eBay last year (see this discussion about it). The plan was to build it up for polo but it's just sat in my parents' garage as I've not really had the time. I did start to dremel off the braze ons but never finished it, and it looks a bit small for me. I'm skint, so need to flog it.
I paid £39. £30 and it's yours. 54cm. Pickup in Putney, cash only.
Sorry the pictures are rubbish. And just to emphasise, it is definitely not campag!![/strike]

thanks for that eeehhh. Looking like a nice route, I work out west so might try some of that as a variation from the way I usually get back down south...
You're welcome. I'm going to have a wonder round south a bit more once my exams are over in a couple of weeks. I know west London well, and central I'm not too bad, but have seriously neglected the south.
Something like Putney - Wandsworth - Clapham - Stockwell - Lambeth - over the river to Victoria - Chelsea - Fulham - Putney again.
Just a thought... one thread for routes, a separate for discussion? Keeps it nice and tidy that way.

You should report it to the Police. I don't know the ins and outs of the law regarding the road, but the driver could very well be in the wrong just for hitting him, but definitely for driving off.
Get your friend to go to a doctor as soon as possible so that they can be checked over. Sometimes injuries don't show up for days, weeks or even longer.

Someone told me once that the reason wetherspoons can have low prices is because they buy drink off the supplier when they are just about to go off, for reduced prices, and its only because they know they can sell the drink before it goes off because lots of people consistently go to wetherspoons. Dunno whether thats 100% true, but it would make sense.
Aye, I've heard that too.
Many student union bars do it as well, mine included. Recently it was getting a tellin' off for selling out of date Magners and offering it in 'premium' snakebites!
They are depressing places; all the ambience of a cross channel ferry combined with junkies trying to sell the steaks they've just nicked from M+S round the corner.
They are pretty nasty, but if you're as skint as I am you'll go where you can afford... and as long as you're with your mates, I don't really think the ambience matters that much.

Route by eeehhhh
Last ridden: 21st Dec 08
Sunday: late evening (11-12ish)
34 km/21 miles
Mostly traffic, although some fairly straight bits, e.g. Upper Richmond Road, South Carriage Drive, which you could put your foot down if you wanted.Route: http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=2464119

Notes
1) At the end of South Carriage Drive, just use the crossing designated for cyclists onto the 'roundabout', under/around Wellington Arch, over the cyclist crossing on the other side and then down onto Constitution Hill. I couldn't find a way to show this on the map properly. Don't go down onto A4/Knightsbridge, as it is on the map, it's not very pleasant...2) After Westminster Bridge towards Waterloo, I head round the back of Waterloo via some dodgy looking tunnel. I think I've got it right on the map, it comes out round the back of Waterloo station near a taxi rank.
3) It looks back on itself a bit, mainly because when I go out for a ride I just go in whatever direction I feel like, then tend to go back on myself when I've had enough.

Mate, make your mind up.
Oh, if I ever see you using a mobile-phone instead of the telegraph, or taking an air flight instead of cruise ship, then you know, just like we know, that you're are a silly fooka, and one hell of a hypocrite.
Time moves on.
Forums can be used to arse around. Or even be very indirect and meandering in the way answers are reached.
Or, some results can be laid out in in a format for quick discovery, and if people like (though most won't), the items in the lists can be discussed, compared from personal experiences, and so on.
As I said, times move on. You might even want to move with them.
Or stay as you are, because I can promise you, nobody, including me, gives a depreciating pound what you do, or think.
Oh, I forgot, Nimbhus supports you in not liking lists. Oh dear.
Err, your point is?
+1
I figured I can use shorts all year round and in the winter just add leg warmers when necessary. My gore thermopower leg warmers were one of my best purchases last year, keep me nice and warm.
