jv samuel smith: rather drink gash juice.
do you really think its that bad??
I'm a bit of a beer snob too and I was impressed with the lagers they have (haven't tried the ales yet). Last time I was in one, they had a german lager from a micro brewery near where my mate live sin Munich. it was outstanding!
Maybe I need to do more Sam Smiths research!

nv55 There's no way a clean Armstrong could beat an unclean Ullrich.
You reckon?? Ulrich has to go down as one of my biggest cycling disappointments. He was out of shape more than in shape and never met his potential even if he was doping. Basically, too many Hoffbrau in the off season. I'd love to seen a better challenege as it would have made the lance years even better.

tbh he does come across as an arrogant twat. but he came back from a near death situation, not only to ride a bike, but ride the tour and win it seven times. for that reason, he is a cycling god in my mind. but then i'm too young for the other cycling greats, merckx, hinault, bobet... indurain was my first legend.

G-whizz in Brighton is a local one for me. Reasonable selection always with some nice old road bikes. and he's sympathetic to SS/FG. He's helped me on a number of occassions.
There really needs to be more places like this and less £100 pro bike pieces of sh1t that end up in the tip after a couple of years.

As people have said, spread the clamp on th bars and give them a good wiggle as you get to the bends.
For the stem, maybe also try some oil. I did that recently on an holdsworth i'm messing about with and it loosened it up enough to get it out.
Cranks don't look cottered, probably just a bit rusted. As long as you can get the bolt off, a crank extractor should get em off.

another awesome day. watched the start of the hill at tonbridge. glad there was a breakaway as other wise it would have been over too quick. quite a few fixies in town. there was also a vintage bike display with some sweet old trackies. including a alain/stan butler. new one on me.
non- cycling highlight of the day was the gokart in the caraven with a 20ft lion on top!
