an experienced sprinter with a decent standing start technique and the right gearing would have beaten the runner, or not?
I would have gone with the cyclist. It seems like it was an experienced runner against a not so experienced (sprinter) cyclist.

Pie Minister stuff is nice. Used to get theirs takeaway for cooking at home.
I like EATs vagatarian pie option - goat cheese and fish jism or something.. whatever it is it taste nice. They need to soften up the pastry though. Square pie is better but it's further away from the office and walking is for dogs.
Spot on hippy! I saw the pie discussion had surfaced, it instantly reminded me of the pie I had at a pie minister stall at the weekend. It was the goats cheese variety. Amazing, if not massively over priced.
This discussion has also reminded me that I have a four pack of pies in my freezer along with some potatoes and a tin of beans.
